  1. Good luck - time for you to a get a good shower.
  2. I keep a lot of detailed personal records... Going back 40 years to the year I graduated high school, the hottest average daily high temp for July here is 90 degrees...and that occurred in 1983. (MU's climatology numbers support my data) I had 19 days that month at or above 90...61% of the month was in the 90s. Now - here is the big change. In 1983, during July there were only 3 nights at or above 70. One of which the low was 70. I've already surpassed that this month. Those are actual numbers. Looking carefully at numbers, daytime highs have definitely trended downward over the past 40 years in July. Numbers back it up. At the same time, overnight lows have increased substantially more than high temps have decreased. The end result is that Julys are indeed slightly warmer on aggregate, and we're suffering more because it simply does not cool down at night like it used to.
  3. Looks like it's currently 82 at the world famous Hugh Cropper Parking Lot down at the O.C. Inlet.
  4. A full 10 degree difference between Pen Mar and Carroll Valley.
  5. Also, there were a couple of days earlier this week where the humidity wasn't low but it was certainly tolerable enough for approaching mid-July.
  6. Totally agree - most forecasts that I saw was for a very hot July and August. Last week was undoubtedly humid, not overly hot and not atypical for summer.
  7. I honestly feel different after July 4th - I feel like there's light at the end of the heat tunnel. September heat messes me up...on one hand, it's frustrating when it's hot and it should be starting to cool off. On the other hand, there's a level of satisfaction knowing that it won't last long.
  8. Less than a week until the maximum mean temp and then the slowwwwww decent towards fall commences.
  9. Dude, he's an institution! LOL Actually, my son played for Elite Baseball for years and they trained in Ron's facility in MJ. (Wag-Bee Printing)
  10. Time for a Kunkleburger! So as a Mount Joy Blue alumnus, you no doubt played for Ron Wagner?
  11. I don't too much anymore...but I am a proud coach and father of an LNP championship team. Donegal 2014 14U Champs. There might even be a picture on the tournament website of my son on the mound dealing against Lititz in the semifinals...
  12. Just reached 90 for the 11th time this year.
  13. Very true - we need the next 72 hours to deliver.
  14. D1 actually pokes right up to and ends at Maytown. I did not realize how dry areas like central and western Cumberland county has been - I thought it was confined to south of the 'pike but I guess not. Thanks as always for sharing.
  15. 80 in Maytown. When it's 80 before 10, great likelihood of 90s on that day. Today I reached it at 9am.
  16. I mentioned late last week, my yard had turned brown...and it took 2-3 days for it to happen. Amazing how quickly it happens this time of year. I watered everything well on Tuesday evening...I got home from work last evening and my wife was going on about how dried out the veggies were already.
  17. CTP still has a HWO for heavy rain possibilities tonight - though they dropped you and me from "likely" rain down to "chance" of rain...Harrisburg on N&W is still looking good though.
