  1. Are you referring to Apollo's Chariot? I've only been to BG twice but I loved that thing...if I remember correctly. LOL
  2. Looking at radar, I'll say we don't reach 2". Might not even get super close. I'll find out shortly.
  3. 1.33" here and the rain has slowed to a very light drizzle. @canderson my wife, daughter and granddaughter left the Farm Show at 7:15 and didn't have any issues. Not sure what lot they were in.
  4. It looks like it's intensifying a little as it move NE.
  5. A bit of a lull coming to the southern tier shortly...but the next wave of heavy rains will be moving in later: https://weather.cod.edu/satrad/nexrad/?parms=LWX-N0B-1-24-100-usa-rad
  6. Going to slow down Josh Allen and swing the tide in our favor. And no, I don't really believe that...but I believe it a little more than snow maps.
  7. Uncanny how this looks JUST like the stupid maps from this past weekend...
  8. As an all weather (except severe) geek, all I can say is - even without an ounce of wintry precip falling here...that is an absolute beaut of a storm. I love images like this...
  9. That's awesome! Averaging 1.5"/hour rates for 4 consecutive hours - great stuff right there.
  10. WPC still expects a lot of water through next Tuesday AM: (especially east of the Susquehanna)
  11. Light rain has commenced, 35 degrees with a stiffening breeze.
  12. Next week - there's a lead forecaster at a Lanco university known for it's weather program who has been talking for 2 weeks now about next week. He hasn't been impressed with anything prior...but if you've followed some of my snippets from him, he's very excited for an east coast winter storm between 1/16 and 1/20...
  13. FWIW - Elliott has been saying the same. His January window is 1/16 - 1/21.
  14. Must have just had a change in wind direction - temp was 28.2 about an hour ago. It's now 33.6 under clear skies.
  15. I can't say that it's not a viable concern at this point. No, you're exactly right. Last year was never supposed to be snowy, let alone cold. Not sure where he got that from but most forecasts were for AN temps and BN snowfall.
  16. I'm frustrated too. HOWEVER...almost every 2023-24 Winter Outlook that I watched/read indicated the same general theme: A well above normal December temp wise with little snow (verified perfectly) A MILD January (1-3 degrees AN) with snow chances starting during the 2nd half of the month (My calendar is showing today as January 8th) A colder, snowy February Who knows what will happen from here on out, but to this point, the forecast for this winter has been SPOT on.
  17. The lone solace of me not getting much snow...not having much snow to watch melt. Snow melt sucks. I'm sorry.
  18. I know that area well. Still a lot of beautiful farmland flanking Landisville Road area north and south for a few miles.
  19. Not going to be going this weekend, but my wife and I are planning on seeing a Bills game in Orchard Park this coming fall. We want to experience Bills Mafia before they move into their new stadium. Likely planning on going in September or October before things start cranking off the lakes. It was awesome seeing all of the Terrible Towels in Nashville yesterday! Steelers fans in full force who made the drive down to root on the Titans.
  20. Hopefully you don't live in the flood-prone areas of Manheim - lots of concern from area mets this morning about potentially significant stream flooding with each of the next several storms.
  21. Looks like MU might be punting the next 3 storms: (1/2) Phew! In terms of wild weather, the next 7-10 days are shaping up to be downright crazy! There may not be much snow in the I-95 corridor, northern MD, or southeastern PA, but several "big storms" should impact the region with high winds & heavy rain.. (2/2) Don't put much stock in the exact path of the 12th-14th or 16th-18th systems yet, but a persistent storm track from the Great Lakes/Ohio Valley into SE Canada seems to be emerging & could certainly come to fruition. Expect talk of #flooding & high winds to be common.
  22. This is something that you might see in the fall in advance of a tropical system as far as amounts in our area are concerned:
