I took a "tour" on googlemaps and have already watched a few videos. (all part of my work day, of course) Even got a nice look at that parking area and the road leading back to the lot and beach. Might have to take a detour next September. My wife and I are committed to going to a Bills home game next year before they close down the current stadium. We want to experience the Bills Mafia. I'm still trying to convince her to do a swan dive into a folding table.

Temp has skyrocketed to 68.2 in Maytown at 1:20pm. Already a 33 degree rise since early AM.

High temps from Thursday-Saturday will be 15-20 degrees above normal, and the #October26 record high of 78F from 1984 at @millersvilleu could be in jeopardy. I’ll take it!

Don't think we'll break records but not sure I'd say it won't be close - temps here could easily reach 80 a couple of times at the end of the week.

61 here now as well. When you posted about THV's 20 degree rise earlier, I was wayyy behind. My biggest temp spike today has happened over the past 90 minutes. Forecast high is 68, at 11am I was still in the 40s and 68 seemed way off. It's in range now.

I've had it since before the series started. I can't explain it to anyone unless you just understand. I have this weird baseball "sense" that is usually more right than wrong. I thought going in, the Dbacks were going to win the series. Admittedly, I hedged a bit after game 2 but that sense came roaring back.

I typed " B U B B L E R " and that is how it read after I typed it. I think that 3 days over 80 on the last week of October is a heatwave. I got yelled at by a staff member this morning because I was walking across our campus at 7am in short sleeves. I laughed.

The great Bubbler fall heatwave of 2023 looking more and more impressive as the week goes on - at a minimum, 5 straight days into the 70s and potentially up to 3 days reaching 80.

Not often - I'd have to check my records when I'm home, but it's not many. First frost has certainly waited until November but I'd bet most of those years still featured October mornings in the mid to high 30s.

Fair question. Look - James is a great recruiter. Maybe one of the best ever in State College. He repeatedly gets outcoached in marquee matchups and it's frustrating. You have to be better than what he put out there today. Have to. I don't know the answer but someone better is out there.
