  1. I don't question other's data out of respect, I'm choosing to assume people are posting data with integrity. I also wouldn't appreciate if others questioned my numbers other than for clarification if something seems completely off. Having said that... that specific stat you mentioned did catch my eye. I hit 97 twice for comparison.
  2. But the posters in question have a big difference - the poster sharing DuBois stats does not live in DuBois, at least to my knowledge. Chescowx is posting info from HIS station. And I know this sounds sorta ticky tacky, but there are a crap ton of Lancaster County posters. All of us live within 45 minutes of Chesco, and many are much closer than that. Other than Atomix and our Clearfield friend, no regular poster in our thread lives anywhere remotely close to DuBois. It's really not an even comparison. Also - I welcomed CC to post anything he damn well wants as long as it's evened out. He is ONLY posting to fit his agenda. Nothing else. At least not in our thread.
  3. As long as you're here in good faith and not to push a singular agenda...sure.
  4. I'm at 10" for the season - 2 weeks ago I shoveled for the first time since 2021.
  5. At least 4 of us now with a C- (You, Me, Canderson, and MJS) and we got there for the same reasons.
  6. I have multiple extended family members living in and around Jacksonville. Trying to convince my wife to become Duvall proud!
  7. Bubbler's Jacksonville Juggernaut is a wound up sub 990mb beast. At least there's that.
  8. My grade was not for winter in totality - I was grading winter as of 1/29/2024. I said "winter to date".
  9. I think one's view of whether a winter season is good, bad or otherwise is highly subjective. Each of us has (and should) have our own interpretation based on an infinite number of criteria that we all filter through our personal lenses. Thing is...everyone is right and no one is wrong. It really comes down to how we feel individually. If I was doing my own assessment of winter to date, I'm in the C- area. I contemplated D+ but want to be positive. We had an 8 day or so stretch of fantastic winter...2 bona fide snow events surrounded by plenty of cold. A wintry landscape that lasted a full week. Outside of that...it's been a dud. Thing is - the first half of winter was always forecast to be a dud. Doesn't change facts, but knowing that going in influences my opinion somewhat as well. What hurts is that not only are we now entering our prime time for snowfall, we are also into the period that was forecast to be cold and white. Cold and white is likely at least a couple of weeks away...and there's no guarantee that it's coming at all. I'm right around 10" of snow for the season - if we end this season with less than 20", I'm going to have a hard time giving this a passing grade. This is a winter where we're "supposed" to cash in. A BN snowfall this season with what might be coming next year is just not good to me.
  10. Any team that loses twice in one season to the Steelers doesn't deserve to win.
  11. 1.17" of rain so far. Exactly 1" since midnight.
  12. My goodness did they ever. A whole lot of energy out there tonight. Really happy to see Pat Bev coaching them up. That kind of stuff matters in the postseason and has been lacking from this team in the past.
  13. Forget a potential KU pattern...I'm all about the PA pattern. And the PA isn't the state we live in...
  14. Not a slam. Just an example of how quickly things change in the NBA.
  15. Congrats Blizz! You got 4 weenies on one post in the MA thread. I am just giving you a hard time.
  16. Totally agree. The other night the Mavs went from like 16 up to 23 down in 10 minutes.
  17. I'll just publicly say that I'm thrilled that you're back. We're better with you.
  18. My comment was a joke with Bubbler86 but I hear you.
  19. And I am old enough to see the Association come full circle. I grew up watching both the NBA and the ABA. The ABA was noteworthy for 2 things...they used a red, white and blue ball, and there was no defense. When the ABA merged with the NBA in the 1970s, coming into the Association was a whole bunch of high flying scorers. Julius Erving was one of the most famous. After that, scoring gradually started to come down to where teams would average right around 100 points. Then the late 80s and especially the 90s featured the bad boy Detroit Pistons and a whole new, physical style of play along with it. They had success and other teams followed. Suddenly games were ending 86-78 and the like. Today's game leaves me feeling very conflicted. While I can appreciate the level of athleticism, the game has evolved into shootouts. Guys driving to the cup for an easy layup but instead firing the rock out to the perimeter for yet another 3. Defense is not emphasized until the 4th quarter. It's entertaining for a lot...the one thing that it isn't is "pure" basketball. And it's one of many reasons why I'm a former season ticket holder and have no plans on attending a single game this season. That's my perspective as a 50+ year fan of the game. My 28 year old son can't get enough of it, so there's definitely an appeal to some.
