  1. It is a warmer than expected 82 at 11:15. Forecast high today is 82. And it is drying out quickly. No rain of consequence the entire week.
  2. The hail core on this storm developed JUST east of the office - coworker that lives about 1 mile east of here had hail. 3. Heavy rain, wind and lightning moving through here (Conestoga) now. Not much thunder.
  4. Really blowing up over Lanco now just south of the city.
  5. Thunder here at work - sky is menacing to my west southwest as the York county cell strengthens approaching the river.
  6. This is so, so true. One of your best posts ever.
  7. MU Weather Center @MUweather This morning’s convection and widespread cloud cover should be a good thing in terms of #severeweather later today. It will help stabilize the atmosphere and limit instability, so activity after midday could be very isolated and relatively weak.
  8. Was just coming here to post that - this is probably the best thing that could have happened at this point. I think it was becoming a distraction, especially when they would lose the first game of a series.
  9. Nothing will bring you greater satisfaction today. Yes, nothing.
  10. It was very Florida-like - minus seeing Expedition Everest and seeing Chickies Hill instead...
  11. Skies have opened up here at work with nothing on the latest radar scan. Edit: Heavy rain for all of 20 to 30 seconds. Done.
  12. That's kinda what I was seeing - areas out near 81 would likely start seeing wet weather around or after 4pm. That cell in Cumberland was ahead of it's time!
  13. Cell has formed from those towers already. Things are popping much sooner than forecast...
  14. At least over this way Friday looks spectacular with full sun and lowering humidity. Almost a zero percent chance of rain. Edit: CTP doesn't necessarily agree with the above statement. LOL
  15. Super time sensitive: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90ShM64bs1Q
  16. Friday and Sunday currently look best, Saturday and Monday look the wettest. A lot can change over the next few days. Timing each disturbance seems difficult.
  17. @Bubbler86 MU is spilling the jargon for the weekend! I don't foresee any "washouts" between Friday-Monday, but there will certainly be multiple bouts of showers and storms throughout the weekend. I'll do my best to parse which time periods may be most active, but understand that exact details can and will change over the next 2-3 days
  18. Summery day unfolding...sunshine and 81 and a bit humid to go along with it. Should easily make the mid 80s at this point.
  19. Yes sir, I've seen a lot and heard a lot over the years on all of my trips taking it. When it first opened back in 1992 it was single-tracked the entire route and it took forever to get anywhere. While the speed has improved over the years, safety has not. It can be an interesting experience downtown and south of there these days.
