    I remember his tone wasn't positive about his long range outlook. I've been thinking and concerned about him a lot ever since.

    Think our local guy down here is going to go the same route...he's already hinted at the continuation of drought and said we have a well below normal chance of a big dog snowstorm. We shall see. It only takes a couple of well-timed systems to muck up an extended outlook.

    I am so ready for a wintry scene outside. Beggars can't be choosy but since I'm not begging I'll elect to choose a nice, solid snow cover from late December that lasts into the beginning of 2026. Give me a white landscape for a few weeks during minimal sun angle with long nights and I'd be happy as a fiddle.

    Back home. 56 with moderate rain. .52" so far. After being on the far low end the past couple of events this is very welcome to see.

    Never ceases to amaze me...every year we come out here to Pittsburgh for a Steelers weekend and the number of people wearing PSU gear is at least double over Pitt. I did get some ribbing today from a few Pitt fans about Franklin...they had no idea how happy I am.

    I love me a rainy Sunday in the fall. Football, chilly and darkness. I'll be in Pittsburgh at the Steelers game and will be anxious to see/hear what happens back this way as I won't be home until later Monday.     Thank you! My low was 37 at home. No frost in the yard or in my immediate area but I saw plenty down in Manor Township on my way to work.

    I'm getting a massive refund for my game 5 tickets plus I also had game 1 of the NLCS and game 4 of the WS. Horrific way to lose, and a colossal waste of tremendous starting pitching. You cannot ask for anything more from the Phillies starters. They should collectively sue for malpractice. On to Penn State! Oh...hold the thought on that...

    I don't really remember the 1972 event. I would have been 7 at the time and was well in tune with the weather. Maybe we didn't have any here in Lanco? 1979 I remember VERY well. Standing at the bus stop with snow falling and a dusting on the ground. Even though I was 14, that's still too young to really appreciate how novel of an event that was. The Orioles-Pirates World Series game in Baltimore was postponed that night due to wintry weather.

    I was thinking about this on my way to work this morning. I'm usually a couple of degrees higher than a lot in here, I am hoping to break 40 but have a feeling that my low will be 40.1.

    Haha! All I know is when she was over at our place this past weekend she told my wife and I she was going to Marysville on Wednesday and Thursday this week. I yelled "Blizz!" in response.

    Thought of you yesterday...my daughter has her own wedding planning business, and she has a rehearsal today and wedding tomorrow in Marysville.
