  1. some breaks on sun now. 81/70. midnight high of 82
  2. including 3 straight days with 80+ minimums, and 4 of 5 days. That level of sustained heat with no relief is worse than just very hot days. It takes quite a toll on you. We're not in FL with widespread central AC
  3. I got to 95. Its been partly sunny for the most part. Mostly cloudy once in a while but high thin clouds not thick overcast. I did get a thicker overcast recently but to my suprise temps still holding in low 90s.
  4. Got pretty dark here. Severe T storm warning for Northern Westchester, Fairfield county CT. Around Ossining now, Mt Kisco about to get it.
  5. 93/67 Heat wave on day 6. 12 of last 13 days 90+, 18 90+ days for the month, 22 total.
  6. LGA hit 90, now passing 2010 for most 90+ days for July. I would assume for any month as well.
  7. Heat milestones all over. DC has 32 straight 70+ lows for 3rd longest, approaching the record of 35 in 2016. They also broke the record of 90+ days in a month at 27, breaking the record of 25. I dont see LGA getting below 70 anytime soon, you think we make it to the top spot? I believe LGA is just short of most 90s in a month too?
  8. Mostly cloudy at times and temp mainly steady since mid morning around 85. Now up a little, 87/70.
  9. Alot of wind with that storm. Tracking north of I 95/Cross Bronx. Heavy rain, now light and looks like the sun ready to come back out just to the west. Headed toward the Sound now
  10. I heard they closed beaches atlantic beach to Jones beach now
  11. Mostly cloudy, windy, 92/71. Some rain crossed the GWB. Radar says a downpour is a couple blocks away. Centered around Fordham, crossing the Botanical Garden now.
  12. If they were to hold Central Park and LGA would set record high minimums. 81 at the Park, and 85 at LGA. Old record 78 at both.
  13. Must be one of the hottest nights we've had. Currently 85/72 HI 91. low waw 83. What's really impressive is how many pws stayed in the 80s beyond NYC. Its usually limited to the most urban neighborhoods and doesnt extend much beyond 5 boros if at all. It looks like lots of 80s to just short of white plains (the actual city not to the airport area)
  14. Hempstead closed their beaches. Also reportedly a woman was killed in a shark attack in Maine today.
  15. High was 97, humidty not terrible and a strong breeze made it hot but manageable. Now, return of the dew. 93/71. 5th time 95+
  16. wind has turn more SW and very gusty. dew point is up slightly, 97/67, heat index 102.
