  1. 40” depth in Boston. 22” on 1” liquid. over 20:1 ratio. Epic event.
  2. Buddy snow blowing his driveway and it’s up to the top of the chute. Still snowing at 3” an hour there. He’s gonna get 40” by noon at this rate!
  3. Buddy said 29.5” new snow in Boston and snowing at 2-3” an hour still. They end up over 40” IMO.
  4. Buddy in Boston,NY on a hill around 1400 feet just sent me these pics. He’s gonna be getting me more when he goes out to clear the driveway. Says over 30” for sure and still pounding. Driveway was clear last night and it’s to the very top of his 32” tires in his Jeep.
  5. Seeing early reports this morning of 12-15” overnight where my new house is in Derby. Still absolutely pounding there. Must be near or over 30 inches OTG there now. Point and Click forecast there has another 8-12” falling today and 2-4” more tonight. Could they hit 40” OTG before this event is over?
  6. Like how I’m still in there as WIVB blog, old school baby!
  7. Be safe! Thruway a mile from my new house. Ugh wish I was in there right now!
  8. Southern Erie upgraded to Warning for 7-11 inches. Northern Erie added to advisory for 3-6” but says nothing for Northtowns.
  9. Band is not going to be that far north. It’s more a WNW flow. Band will be from Eden to Boston Hills. RGEM has such a bad northern bias. I can’t tell you how many times the RGEM showed a band making it up here only for it to stay a solid 10+ miles to my south. It’s literally the only model showing anything that far north right now. I’d count on D-2” if I were you.
  10. Channel 4 in house model shows the storm Thursday missing us almost entirely. He’s calling for 2-4”. Sounds about right to me.
  11. Dude that looks like a nasty ice damn right in the valley of the roof. Not good, when things thaw a bit that’s gonna lead to some water leakage for sure. No doubt there’s some serious heat loss.
  12. This winter is back down to a C in my book. Getting burned on this storm and this next one falling apart makes me have to bring it back down to a C. Yeah the sustained cold and some snow has been great but we just can’t get a solid synoptic event to save our lives. Everything is nickel and dime.
  13. Could just be me being a Debbie after getting burned with this event but I’m not feeling the next one at all. Seems like a SE NY/ SNE special.
  14. First Call for Thursday Event. KBUF - 0.5” KROC 0.6” KSYR 0.7” KBGM 1.6” KALB 1.3” This ones gonna be a whiffer.
  15. A lot of that is from the scraps of the first storm. Here’s Kuchie for the 2nd event.
  16. I should have taken a core sample before we mixed because I garuntee the snow needles and sugar grains that were falling was also probably damn near close to 7:1. Just so dense and heavy it was insane.
  17. Idk about there but here the temps were 24-26 degrees the entire event. We never got even close to as cold as was forecast.
