Add files then photo library then select the picture. I have trouble uploading directly from my iPhone though because the iPhone photo files are too large… I usually upload pics through Imgur then inset using other media and “insert through url” then pasting the Imgur link.

Yeah looking more like yesterday imo but I do think we at least see some snow to start in the 95 area. Don't think we'll get as much plain rain as yesterday either. Thinking we'll see at least 1" of snow followed by sleet then ending as freezing rain/drizzle.
-
I'm not sure how one measures ice, but it looked like we got between .1 and .2. No snow at all, basically started as sleet and really didn't stay sleet super long either. Hoping saturday is a bit more white.

My advice is take each threat one at a time, that's what I'm doing. Pattern is active and should be multiple threats, that's all we can ask for. I'm focused on tonight then will take a look at Sun and Tues tomorrow, not even focused on them yet let alone anything further than that. Tonight was looking like mostly rain 5 days ago and now is looking mostly frozen... Things can change quick.

NAM in the past has always been absolute money with the sleet line. I'm buying it. Mostly sleet outside of far n and w areas who will also see a lot of sleet but they will begin at least as snow. Ends as light rain for Philly and burbs. I refuse to buy into the other models showing snowier solutions... I've been burned way too many times by ignoring the NAM in these situations... it's usually spot on and if it's indicating a mix line further N than other models, it's a red flag imo

I mean I said before the 2017 win against the Pats that I'd trade 5 snowless winters in a row for that win... and then that basically happened No regrets though and I would absolutely trade no snow the rest of this winter for a win on Sunday... It would be legendary to have a parade with snow around though not going to lie. If I can trade a win sunday and MECS next week in exchange for a snowless winter rest of the winter and next year, let's do that! Call me Howie Snowsman.

The 3k NAM is what I think the outcome will be pretty much verbatim for most of the area. Very little snow, pretty much switches over to sleet immediately but most of the precip falls frozen then ends as light rain/drizzle. Obviously the further N and W you are the longer you will hold on frozen. https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/analysis/models/nam3km/2025020412/nam3km_ref_frzn_neus_42.png https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/analysis/models/nam3km/2025020412/nam3km_ref_frzn_neus_45.png https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/analysis/models/nam3km/2025020412/nam3km_ref_frzn_neus_48.png

1/19/25 Eagles Playoff Winter Storm obs
The Iceman replied to Ralph Wiggum's topic in Philadelphia Region
These guys that ended up tailgating with us brought this game up as the "coldest game they've ever experienced." Not technically a snow game imo though. There was another game against the 49ers in 2009 that was like that. 12/19/09 hit then the game was 12/20. Parking lots were still a disaster. That was the coldest game I have ever attended. I never underdressed for an eagles game ever again after that experience -
Random question, but does anyone know where to find season to date snow totals for across the country?

Coldest I saw my station was 2 F. Curious if anyone in lower bucks made it below freezing.

Yup and to think just last Friday it looked like this week had the potential to be a blockbuster...instead just another nickle and dimer and cold/dry then who knows. This winter has been such a tease. 6 separate snow events, which is great considering we still have another roughly 6 weeks of winter chances but only 9" total. I feel like I would currently grade winter a B so far just based on the number events and the cold. It's actually felt like winter this year which is a win compared to the last few... If we can get a MECS in Feb or March, this winter would be an A in my book despite being nickle and dimed most of the year.

My weather station hasn’t been saving high and low temp data since the new year and I haven’t fixed it yet so I’m not sure officially how low we got, when I woke up at 530 though it was 4F. Also crossed the Delaware River this morning in Morrisville/Trenton, and it looks to be almost completely ice covered. Will be interesting to see if any ice jam problems pop up by the end of the week with the already low water levels.

Best eagles game I’ve ever attended. I know the storm was a bit of a disappointment but we still got around 3” in Levittown. Roads were a disaster coming back from the game, took a solid hour and a half to get home once we left the parking lot. I will post some pics from the game later! Go birds! -

I don't look at the HRRR past 18 hours(and it's even a stretch there) so no worries there -
Anyone else taking the plunge and going to the game Sunday? Ticket prices have been dropping since yesterday and me and my buddy snagged a pair. Figured playoff game in Philly in the snow is not something that happens every day. I'm beyond hyped. Hopefully the storm and/or the game doesn't disappoint!

Sunday 1/19 Eagles Game Snow and Stuff
The Iceman replied to Ralph Wiggum's topic in Philadelphia Region
Yeah I'm not gonna cliff jump based on the effing canadian suite. I'm still liking region wide 3-6" with maybe a period of sleet for 95. Think watches should be going up by this evening correct? -

CMC schooling the GFS EURO and ICON would be kick in the pants but I'm going to choose good vibes and be hopeful with the consensus. 3-6" with mixing possible along 95. We take. -

GFS/ICON/NAM/EURO vs RGEM. May 95 mix a bit for a period or change to sleet, possibly. I just don't see this being a majority sleet or rain event though for 95 still. I think 3-6" for most looks solid. -
I feel like their goaltending is trash this year lol They'd actually be solidly a playoff team if they were getting average goaltending. Ersson is the only NHL goalie on the team and he's not a franchise guy yet. Plays his best in a tandem 1a/1b situation. Problem is fedotov STINKS and kolosov is just not ready for the NHL yet. There's some real nice pieces though. Their other big problem is that they have no good centers. Coots is a better winger at this stage in his career, Frost is a 2C at best probably better suited to 3 C, Poehling and Laughton are both 4 C's. They really need to add 2 dynamic centers and they would be contenders. Until then they'll be in that 10-20 range based on their goaltending.
