Heard my first peepers tonight! Great way to introduce spring. That sound is such a calming thing, especially necessary in these times...

Yeah sometimes you folks in Warren get skunked when it's an east-west kind of gradient. Overall it's been a terrible winter, only decent storm came in December like you said. Outside of those 8 inches, a few other events were able to bring me just above a foot.

I'm still amazed at the lack of snow imby this winter. The HV and far NW NJ folks have nearly double what I do, just from small events that never came to fruition here.

Like we all said, winter 2020 is done, that's it. No more snow for the next 8 months, if you're lucky.

Most people I see have absolutely horrible hygiene, such as leaving the bathroom without washing their hands. Do you know how dirty those pinpads are at stores, and how filthy money is? Yet, I constantly see people eating right after they have touched these things. Proper hygiene means a lot, and I've always practiced it. Now all of the sudden there is mass panic and a shortage of products used to disinfect?

It's time to give it up dude...over and done with.

Right, and spring has turned out to be cool and wet for the last several years, March included.

Well that's not bad compared to other areas. I'm barely over a foot. You and the HV folks cashed in on a lot of smaller events where I got nothing but maybe some flakes flying. Tomorrow is March, and next week turns wet and mild again. This winter has been such a disappointment, and that's coming from me, someone who lives for the heat of summer.

Spring has yet to arrive for another 2 weeks after this Anyway, nice February weekend incoming.

Very good stat Uncle, and it confirms my earlier sentiments that this year has lacked days with cold high temperatures.

Imagine going the month of February without any snow at all.

I'm also surprised at the lack of cold highs too (sub 30).

IMO the mode is better suited for a situation such as trying to find what item at your candy shop sells the most. In terms of snow, it may not be the best. For example, imagine a city has the following snowfall amounts in the last 10 years...21, 21, 54, 36, 41, 45, 48, 33, 28, 39. Those two dud years would make the most common total 21 inches, whereas the average is 36 inches. The real problem though is that when seasonal totals are reported to the decimal, it would be even less likely that two years would repeat the same exact number.

Without a doubt, crap weather right through May.

Since at least Fall 2018 we have been stuck in this horrible overall pattern of grayness. A start to finish blue sky day is a rarity.

Exactly, even here we have had no accumulating snow in weeks, forget the city.

My point is simple, those who enjoy winter around here want cold temps and long periods of snow cover. Have we had that this season? Of course not, and so even if March is a rockin month that won't make this an A grade winter.

If you live in the city especially, this winter is pretty much toast. March can't make up for the whole season. That'd be like having a cool and wet JJA with terrible beach weather and then hoping September corrects it with 90's and sun.

That's my bad, something in my brain read that chart as beginning on Jan. 1, December 2015 will do it for sure.

If it weren't for that nice December event, I would only have a few inches...
