    Very true, look back at 18-19 and 19-20, I guarantee Accuweather was calling cold and snowy.

    Really solid downpours the last 20 minutes here.

    Wow, how did it get up to 83 in the house? It's 73 in ours and we haven't run any AC in weeks.

    Yeah I guess we have to see. Seems like there are some breaks out west in PA. Clouds keeping temps lower than expected. Finally able to get back on the GOES website. It was down for awhile.

    Is it supposed to pull north and give us some breaks of sun? Stuck at 62 here which is really underperforming.

    You need AC for this? That explains why you melt in the summer then lol.

    Yeah radiational cooling allows the outer suburbs to drop very quickly. On a muggy night in July, the heat island will still make it warmer in the city than imby, but sometimes not by much. Cool nights like this however I'm easily 10-15+ degrees less than the park.

    Follows the trend of recent years where we get some brief cooldowns in between the warmth like Bluewave mentioned above.

    Nice shots Don. This hazy smoky air reminds me of earlier this summer. Certainly doesn't have a mid-September feel. I'm loving this extended warmth.

    And then you have to stop every vehicle to see who's essential and who isn't? NWS puts out the warnings, it's up to the public to read and interpret them.

    57 currently. It's so weird how cool it feels, I'm actually chilly. Just been so hot and humid that this dry air feels like that.

    Definitely expecting basement flooding. I haven't had to add water to the pool all summer, maybe just once. That never happens.

    Yeah all surrounding stations are 5"+ here. Enough to get water in the basement, thankfully not too bad. Definitely enough rain for awhile.

    I'd be fine with that, so long as it's more of a dry heat. We really only have 3 core months of heat- June, July, August. Spring is just cool and grey as of recent, with some bursts of warmth here and there.
