  1. Your spreadsheet is cool. I didn’t know about datedif.
  2. @WxUSAF would know better than me, but if DCA finally dips to freezing tomorrow morning, I think @wxdude64 would sneak in for the win. If it's not until Wednesday morning, then @mappy wins. And finally, in the unlikely event that the corn dust shield holds up until the weekend or our locked-in clipper early next week, then it's drinks on me.
  3. BWI: 13” DCA: 9” IAD: 16” RIC: 8” Tiebreaker SBY: 17”
  4. Can’t be too early recently. We need all the peace and love we can muster these days.
  5. Just flood it. It’s a quick chore. Lay the hose down in the middle of the area and turn it on for about five minutes. Sit on the patio and drink half a beer admiring your handiwork. Then, go back and check on it and wherever it’s soggy is done. Move the hose to the areas that aren’t soggy and do it again, including the beer. After a couple of times, you’ll figure out how the area is sloping and figure out the best placement of the hose. In the heat of summer, I do this every day, but now you’ll probably only need to do it every three or four days. And don’t be afraid to walk on it when it’s soggy. It helps create good contact for the roots to get into the ground.
  6. It’ll be fine. Like the rest of us, it wants to live. Just keep it wet.
  7. Late hours of the 12z gfs are going to have weenies weenie-ing.
  8. "The big ones are sniffed out early," said everyone.
  9. Incredible is the right description. Amazing.
  10. Hot damn! I’ve got one of these beers waiting for me after work this afternoon. Should be an interesting blend!
  11. I’ve had that dude on ignore for years.
  12. Too bad the most recent cold didn’t time better with daylight savings. Richmond would have probably made it with the extra hour of night.
  13. Oh, good. That means I’ve still got six weeks of grass growing weather.
  14. I’d be looking good if Richmond would just cooperate, but they’re stuck at 34. Maybe they’ll get the dip just before sunrise.
  15. My last grass cutting is usually thanksgiving weekend. Last year it was the first weekend in December, but I’m ridiculous and I like my grass cut, leaf free, level, and prepared for snow.
  16. Took a trip down to Calvert county and cut some firewood for the fire pit at my sisters house from a down tree. Then to Mully’s Brewery for a couple and now at Scorpion Brewery. But what a sunset!
  17. Hopefully my backup QB for when Murray has a bye week.
  18. Man, that sucks. Sorry to hear. Areas of Dorchester county have become uninhabitable in the past 25 years because of the rising tides. NPR had a show a few years ago that was memorable. https://www.pbs.org/video/high-tide-in-dorchester-7ywhuy/
  19. 2.72” so far. Over 5” this week, and I’m really glad I cleaned out the gutters yesterday. I had a clogged downspout and Monday’s storm got into the foundation and had the sump pump working overtime. After cleaning the leaves and debris yesterday, sump pump is still working a lot, but much less.
  20. I went over there once in all the years I’ve been on the board. That was enough.
  21. Anyone else have a ragweed allergy and finding the last couple of days have been itchy and sneezy?
