Moving this over here from banter, but I think even up here I could go to sleet for a time. No mechanism up north to keep a warm layer from coming up the bay, and I’m east enough that it happens here in big storms.
The problem is that they all look professional. If someone like DT made the snow maps for the lesser models using crayons, we'd immediately discount them.
Hopefully it’s understood that I wasn’t defending it. Most times, I don’t find those maps a useful tool because they seemingly change often based on a model run, and usually so late that they are a model run behind.
