Sorry to keep posting but this is the most snow I’ve seen in a long time.

It’s confusing because the beltway is a loop. When you are heading home, you will take 695 East, and although you’ll initially be going east, you will be circling counterclockwise so you will slowly be turning to north to re-intersect with 95 North. A map makes it clear.

No. Regardless of whether you’re traveling from the north or from the south, you’ll want east. Coming south you went “left” to go east, and coming north you’ll go “right” to go east, but that section of the beltway is the east side. Going west on the beltway would take you up my side and you don’t want that crap. Always traffic.

I parked at Catholic U and rode my bike down. It’s a zoo down there. Back at CU now and watching baseball. Perfect spring day!

What @Kmlwx said is great advice. Another option would be to take exit 57 onto Boston Street and cut through the city. It would of course add time, but there are some great spots in Canton, Fells Point, or Federal Hill to grab some food and get a vibe for the city. If you’re in a hurry, what @Kmlwx said is the best advice, but as much as we get a bad rap, we’ve got some cool spots.

I got caught up in the traffic for that. Bad week for the west side of the beltway.

All speculation, and Esq @hstorm would grill me on the stand for this, but they were both going so fast side by side that the gray car just came up more quickly on the car in her lane than she expected. She didn’t look because she was likely panicked. Also, father and son killed just confirmed on WBAL11. So sad.

I deduced that from the article I read. And it is absolutely obvious in the video that both cars were going much faster than other vehicles on the road. They collided and still passed other cars.

There definitely should have been something in the opening but maybe there had been or would be? It was around lunch hour so ? As far as the two cars, it sounds like they were side by side and the gray tried to overtake the white but had to go left to avoid rear-ending the car in front. Gray car f’d up but white was involved too. They were both going way too fast.

It's crazy the number of people I see on the roads using their phones while driving. Not saying that's the case here, but I have to believe investigators will be looking at the phone records of both drivers. Personally, besides it being really unsafe to text and drive, I'd hate to have to defend myself if I was involved in an accident while on the phone even if it had nothing to do with the accident.

Last I heard, they are alive. I don’t want to rush to judgement, but if this person was impaired, racing, etc, then, yeah, I totally agree. I drive that part of the beltway everyday and I don’t see how someone was traveling at that rate of speed and managed to get in between the openings of the jersey walls. The openings are spaced far apart and they are not big. Just tragic.
