    I’m not too bothered by it, but it’s both for me mainly because I haven’t had anything greater than a 6” storm since 2016. That wouldn’t bother me as much if just to the south hadn’t been beating me in both individual storms and overall winter accumulations.

    I just got out of the woods without a signal for the past 48 hours. Anyone want to give a quick recap of what yesterday was like? Also, quick rundown of what is coming Tuesday? I’m driving or I’d look myself. Thanks in advance. BTW, in Michaux State Forest, a few hours of sleet and freezing rain last night. Nothing terrible but the hike out was sketchy. Also, was shocked to see the tree damage in the state forest from emerald ash borer.

    Depends on temperatures for me. If it’s going to stay cold, give me a bunch of smaller storms. I love snowcover. Otherwise, give me the big dog.

    Well, two things. First, the western part of the county has very different conditions than along 95. And secondly, as I said yesterday, there was already a half day scheduled for elementary schools for parent conferences. In order to keep the elementary schools number of days aligned with the middle and high schools, they either open on time or close in these situations. Because of today, HoCo has used all 5 of its allotted snow days. Everyone wanted to go in today and not waste it. Well, except seniors.

    Here’s the dilemma for HoCo schools. There’s already a half day scheduled for elementary schools for parent conferences. In the past that has meant either open on time, or close. Maybe this will be the first instance where the bigwigs decide to close elementary but delay all others, but I doubt it. edit, but it just occurred to me that you were probably referring to your work and not your kids.

    I’m also rooting for a delay. As you know, HoCo hasn’t any room left for additional days at year’s end, and if February delivers even half of what the models suggest, we’re going to use several more. Adios spring break??
