  1. A storm just popped up southwest of here and moving northeast. Please hold together.
  2. I’m in Waynesboro and the broken line passed here with some thunder and some rain but nothing much. Hopefully it impedes for areas east to of here. eta: and a full, perfect rainbow.
  3. Some peeps are going to get dumped on today. Big cloud tops already.
  4. Nice surprise shower here ongoing.
  5. I have no idea how long this product has been around, but it's the first I've seen it. And it's awesome. https://www.wrh.noaa.gov/map/?obs=true&wfo=LWX&basemap=OpenStreetMap&boundaries=true,false&obs_popup=true
  6. Looking west across Isle of Wright Bay from Ocean City this evening.
  7. Regardless how good our winter gets, you’d still have complaining turds.
  8. If what I traveled through in central PA an hour ago is any indication, there will be tropical downpours.
  9. We got shutout down here but no worries. I've only had to do minimal watering of the garden this year with the regular 1-2" storms every week or so. Hopefully later today and tomorrow will be the same.
  10. No rain but spectacular cloud to cloud lightning.
  11. This storm is allergic to the beltway. All the energy is slipping north.
  12. We are having dinner and a beer at world of beer in Owings Mills and big gusts just arrived.
  13. We watched it on a huge black and white console tv. I also remember listening to school closings on the combo radio during the Harden and Weaver show during snowstorms. It looked something like this...
  14. I've read it is a pretty cool event. Did you meet up with @WxUSAF?
  15. I think we've discussed this in recent summers, but a difference in our big heats today and 20 years ago is how much better the air quality is now. Before the catalytic converter, the sky never looked this blue during our heat waves.
  16. I won't wager a guess, but one of the things that make late season heat more tolerable for me is the earlier sunsets. So for me, this time of the year is the worst of it.
  17. Pump some air in to make some bubbles and it's a hot tub!
  18. .92" here yesterday. The wind was the biggest deal here.
  19. This evenings storm blew over my very full plum tomato plant. The roots were still intact and the stem didn't snap, so I pulled the whole cage back up and maybe it'll survive.
  20. Wow. A really good storm with super gusty winds and rolling thunder. Not so much lightning but lots of rain.
  21. Patiently waiting for the arrival.
