  1. I like that the GFS is trending wetter for Thursday night the last few runs across central MD.
  2. It's nice to hear about Chris Davis doing some good with the money he's making.
  3. If so, I’m at the Nepenthe Brewery tent. Right next to DuClaw @Scraff
  4. Anyone else coming into Bmore for the Maryland Craft Beer Fest?
  5. That is odd. WxUnderground has the hourly report (bottom of the page linked), but I doubt they have access to any max/mins in between. https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/us/md/baltimore/KBWI
  6. @C.A.P.E. The Black Beauty has germinated! The yard is beginning to look like an old man with hair plugs.
  7. Thanks, and no damage. It's an old house that had a french drain put in around the interior walls before I moved in about 15 years ago. When it's raining really hard like last night, a little bit of water can miss the corrugated plastic of the french drain and make a small puddle. My sump pump will be working overtime for a few days. No big deal, and I know better than to keep anything important down there.
  8. 2.04" from the storm, and 8.50" for October. I even had a little water in the basement this morning.
  9. .79" overnight here and 6.47" for October. About a week ago, I think @WxUSAF said the yearly deficit was over 6" at BWI, and now I think it's just over 2". And we might make a lot of that up tonight.
  10. This is perfect. Heavy rain this AM and now a dry and breezy afternoon on tap just in time for Sunday Funday.
  11. A lot more rain early this morning than I thought. Already .72” in the gauge.
  12. Maybe just a fluke this run, but the euro and gfs have pretty solid consensus for central MD.
  13. Another inch or so for most of us advertised on the euro during Saturday night and Sunday would be perfect.
  14. Another .58" yesterday, over 3.5" in the past week, and 3.90" for the month. Let this soak in for a few days, and let's do it again.
  15. I’m late with the decorative gourd harvest this year, but in spite of the drought and my neglect, it was another good year.
  16. Twenty or so years ago I used to keep track of when peak was in this area to the day. Mind you, my method wasn’t very scientific. “Today looks better than yesterday, so not yet.” “Today looks worse than yesterday, so it was yesterday.” But it was always from October 25 to November 1, so things haven’t changed much in that regard. Also, I think you’re fortunate because some of the older neighborhoods in Columbia have what I think is some of the best color in the area. I used to work in the Oakland Mills area and I’m still down that way often, and it can be pretty vibrant
  17. I noticed driving home from work today that the colors are improving quickly. A lot of reds and oranges starting to pop.
  18. We got into the heavier band and then some. Just surpassed an inch.
  19. A few days ago, today was forecasted to be sunny, so no complaints here.
  20. I’m at .55” so far. Let’s see if that heavier band can get here and get me close to .75.
  21. Looks great, CAPE! Funny story here.i was going to seed yesterday with the black beauty you recommended but I felt I needed a larger bag. So on the way to the beer fest, I stopped in to the hardware store and exchanged for a larger bag and was going to seed when we got home. But we met some friends at the fest and they came over for a night cap. I ended up falling asleep to the game (in the 8th inning!), woke up on the couch at 3am, checked the radar and saw that rain was getting close. Hopefully none of my neighbors saw me seeding at 3:15am this morning.
