I’m not being a smart-ash, but hasn’t that map shown us getting above average for the past two weeks?

1.21” for July and 2.41” for June. Total for summer climo so far is 3.62”.

Piggybacking on the posts above, just .23” this week and the grass is struggling. I’ll spray for Bermuda grass (easy to spot now as it’s the only thing really green) and let the rest go dormant. I learned back in the stretch of extremely dry and hot of September and October 2019 that tall fescue will rebound quickly.

.23” through yesterday, and up to 1.20” for the month. I am still optimistic for over an inch this week tho.

The way everything dies as it approaches makes me wonder if the radar just isn’t accurate in the western areas.

Yeah, I haven’t done great either with around .25”, but better than nothing for sure.

Round one wasn’t much but at least the ground is wet.

Admittedly, the drought isn’t nearly as bad here as other areas, but I’m under an inch for July so I’d be happy with a deluge. And it looks like the radar is starting to blossom to the south, so I wouldn’t abandon all hope for the afternoon in your area just yet.
