  1. The 30 days of lock down, etc, was a result of what I think is the lesser of two evils. The way some people are selfishly acting right now is anything but compassionate in spite of the fact that what transpired in the last 30 days may have saved them or a loved one. And I’m not on the side that catching this virus will kill everyone, but it would have done more damage, and still can, if there isn’t adequate health care. There has been adequate care so far, but It’s a result of the very lock down some people want to eliminate. I’m all for reopening, but it has to be slow.
  2. I wish there was a way for all of us to see what the hospitals in cities across the country would have looked like had there not been a lock down. There are no easy answers, but doing nothing and letting this run uncontrolled with no compassion doesn’t seem like a good option to me.
  3. It doesn't matter if people are in favor of or not in favor of easing the lock downs. The way this has to be done is easing them slowly so that hospitals and health care workers can keep up. Without a vaccine, the best scenario at this point is to try to control the speed of infections. That's why we are in lock down mode. And part of the equation of how fast this spreads has to consider the potato heads like the ones in Harrisburg now who don't seem to comprehend what is being done. Opening is going to happen. But slowly.
  4. That was what I was referencing in my vague post above. I wish all the people that had that kind of pull with the big J could get Him to give us a vaccine.
  5. It's funny how some people think that if we do something as a society for the good of the society, it's socialism. And no, I am not pointing fingers in this thread.
  6. The 500,000 tests that Hogan and his wife acquired is greater than the number of tests administered so far by the top four states combined. That's ridiculous. That's what people should be protesting.
  7. With the price of oil in the -30's a barrel, now is the time!
  8. I wish I could buy all my future heating oil now.
  9. Is it difficult to shave a sh*thead?
  10. Put blue shoes on his feet, and yes, I did!
  11. I wore plastic cleats. We didn’t have much money, so there was at least one year where I had to wear my brothers hand-me-downs. They were huge and I looked like a clown. I remember going to Irving’s Sport Shop in Landover Mall and buying my own pair with my paper money. Probably the first major purchase of my young life and I was so proud to wear them. I also bought my own red baseball glove too.
  12. Absolutely. The Redskins won a Super Bowl with Mark Rypien. Who the hell is Mark Rypien? If they didn’t have the best offensive line in the nfl that year, that team would have been nothing. They had fast receivers that could get open deep, and Rypien just laid the ball out there for them to run under, not possible without that amazing offensive line.
  13. We need a paranoid emoji.
  14. I don’t disagree. As a Redskin’s fan... ...RG 3 But, I think Lamar has a lot of potential as a pocket passer with the ability to scramble.
  15. Ok. But I’m really not. I have no idea what I’m missing. Eta: No.big deal. I miss a lot in real life too.
  16. What? You’ve lost me. I was wondering who said lockdown until there are zero deaths.
  17. Did Highstakes or Fauci say lockdown until there are zero deaths?
  18. Lamar is special, but I agree that he’s an injury waiting to happen.
  19. Remember when Belle Belle beaned that dude in the chest?!?
  20. Saw this in the covid thread and brought it over here. That thread is a wreck. My doctor once told me that if you're over 40 and not taking supplements, you probably have a vitamin D deficiency. I've been taking it for years. It keeps me spry.
  21. This helps to explain the Penguins stuff. Albert Belle and Sammy Sosa signings too.
  22. I'm running out of "likes" in this thread. Good stuff. And @losetoa6, that pitcher's mound is pretty cool! Like just about every other kid, I played baseball, but each year I was either the last cut for the county team and a star on the scrub t-shirt teams, or I made the county team, rode the bench and never got my cool uniform dirty.
  23. I social distance from social media all the time.
