  1. Couldn’t agree more. I hate you but he’s super cool. If he haunts this place at all, I hope that he sees your post and decides to post his thoughts, banter with the peeps he likes, and puts the others on ignore. edited, but glad that you got a chuckle. I really miss his early AM thoughts, because like you and @CAPE, I’m up early. Reading his essays was always the way I started my morning, another edit, but @mitchnick too,
  2. Bring a tent. There’s already a chair there from @losetoa6
  3. Frosty 25 here, and it looks like DCA made it too.
  4. That’s exactly the first thing that I saw! And clockwork is a good movie.
  5. I haven’t voted. I’ll take snow any way I can get it.
  6. Stray flakes flying here a couple of hours ago.
  7. That’s a great attitude. Well done.
  8. Hoco voted virtual through quarter three. Argue on.
  9. I went to Giant, saw the lines, left and hit the liquor store for a 4 pack of that Big Luscious. Enjoying one now. So damn good. I also got a Flemish sour that I hope to not get into tonight.
  10. Pretty remarkable how the line is leap frogging just west of 95 to the east 10-15 miles. No rain here but a few drops.
  11. Indeed. Using all nine of their lives this drive.
  12. I don’t think so but I saw that and the gingerbread stout last night at Total Wine in Towson last night. I was tempted but didn’t pick up either of them. But I did get a Wicked Weed Dark Age. Saving it for a cold night. https://www.wickedweedbrewing.com/beer/dark-age/
  13. I got the chance to try a Founders Big Luscious, chocolate raspberry stout, last night, and it’s awesome.
  14. Not out far enough yet, but the 12z is interesting too. edit: meh. 1046 high slips away. Good practice for winter.
  15. It must be. I get great yields in spite of myself.
  16. All of my leaves go into the garden every year. It starts out as 2-3’ pile of fluff, but by spring, it’s an inch of compost.
  17. Above freezing but patchy frost on leaf piles and rooftops.
  18. Cicadas and their cycles are cool. And they only last about three weeks in late May and June. I did, however, postpone replanting my front arborvitae and barberries until next fall because I don’t want any new plants getting eaten in the spring.
  19. I’m all for cold holidays, but it would be ok with me to get a nice day like we’ve had in the last week on Thanksgiving so I could have my mom and dad over in the backyard without worrying about them getting sick. Otherwise, I think it’s going to be a quiet turkey day here.
  20. Maybe I should read it before I “Like” it.
  21. The maples in my hood look really nice, though I should have gotten a picture a couple of days ago. The last few days the leaves have been dropping fast, but really pretty. The yellows of the Ginkos aren’t quite at peak yet, so hopefully the rain and any wind the rest of the week won’t mess them up.
  22. Disagree with the call, but Harbaugh is a master of the rules.
