This band was to my west for awhile so this steadier stuff just recently picked up, but I’m around 5” total. Would love for this to drop a quick inch to fill the voids and freshen things up.
Eta that I broke through the crust and eyeballed 5” depth so maybe closer to 6” storm total.
LWX just issued a WWA for parts of Prince William and Spotsylvania counties because of that persistent streamer. Looks to be enhancing up this way too.
I want to get 5 more. We aren't along the M/D border, but we can do this. Just need a band to set up for a couple of hours and it will pile up fast with good ratios. Of course, as soon as the sun comes out tomorrow, it would deflate, but so what?!?
I hear the occasional sleet burst but they've few and far between. Mostly just freezing drizzle or very light ice pellets. I don't have anything accumulating on branches but the snow is super-crusty.
An inch of qpf would be nuts, but I'm excited for the wind and any snow showers we get today. Backside snow is light, fluffy, and can accumulate quickly, not to mention that it doesn't happen around here much.
