  1. Congratulations on the successful surgery and really glad that you're up and about. I fixed your post because I was initially confused. I mean, of course you're up and about if they gave you an additional foot. Just kidding and seriously, congrats. I've never had one but know those that have, and hip surgeries are no fun. Sunny and 50. Beautiful out there.
  2. This is a completely different system. We don't have a low to our west driving north of our latitude with a transfer to the coast. eta: Just saw your post, but my point, which you get, was that your not comparing apples to apples.
  3. A great electrician AND flexible enough to pat your own back with two hands. Talented, dude.
  4. Yeah, but man, it's beautiful out there today!
  5. I liked Sue Palka. Was she cool to work with? I liked watching her because she was on the 10 o’clock news and when there was a storm coming up, she’d always come back near the end of the broadcast and describe the gfs.
  6. Radar suggests that the Eastern shore might get some snow action this afternoon.
  7. I’m sorry that you can’t see this post. But I agree with you. I had hoped that the “mentions” ignore option meant quoted stuff too.
  8. Just curious, but is there any correlation from winter to winter regarding the nao? Specifically, does a negative nao this winter diminish our chances of one next year? If the Pacific had been in a better state this year, we probably would have done better, especially earlier in the winter, right? What I’m getting at in a roundabout way is that I think the Pacific will look better next year. What are our chances of a -nao to go with it?
  9. Snow here too. Four consecutive days of snow is a record for me.
  10. 12/16 - 17 4.0" 1/26 0.2" 1/31 - 2/2 5.7” Total 9.9”
  11. Dude. He said earlier he reported something around 6. What is wrong with you?
  12. I can’t believe that I’ve never been up there for Groundhog Day. Slacker...
  13. Wind-driven more than light but not quite moderate snow. Time to bundle up and go for another walk. When winter winters, it’s the best.
  14. Well, hopefully it holds together as it starts working east. Nothing heavy here now but it looks like someone is spinning a snow globe.
  15. Nothing there? Still? Light snow here but just snow tv for now.
  16. Seems weird now that the snow stopped. It had been like 50 hours of precipitation, but I feel confident the evening band will make up for the lull.
  17. I’m betting those bands in central PA pinwheel down through here late this afternoon.
  18. Today reminds me of the Wednesday (I think) after the '96 Blizzard that just parked a snow band over the metros all day and gave us all another 4" to freshen up the snow piles.
  19. Lol. I edited that last post in case you popped in. I’m around 6” and still some fluff incoming. How about you?
  20. I told you and @North Balti Zen I wanted 5 more inches (of snow).
  21. That water color is awesome. Unrelated, and I’m not in any way comparing the art above to the picture below, but it’s pretty crazy the photos that phones take these days. This is from about 5AM without a flash and no light source other than the snow. If I enlarged it, no doubt it would be noisy and distorted, but still impressive how much detail the phone camera is able to pick up in darkness.
  22. I woke up just as the band started here and went for a long walk. Just got back and measured. 5.25” depth so about 6” total.
