  1. I’m saving my last pbr bomber for after the first lawn cutting of the spring.
  2. I am hoping for a fast exit to this rain and a spectacular sunset. What drink should I make to encourage that?
  3. I’m betting that I’m over 2” but I’ll wait to measure until after this last bit wrings out over me. I’m really hoping that the breaks in the clouds that I’m seeing on satellite get here before sunset.
  4. I remember reading this article 17 years ago. https://www.baltimoresun.com/bal-te.cicada26may26-story.html
  5. I’m using rye tonight. Gives it a little bite.
  6. Manhattan for me this evening.
  7. MD’s rebounding is horrrrrrriiiiiiibbbbbllleeee.
  8. I don’t remember seeing them on the menu, but doesn’t mean they weren’t there. The one definite I’ve learned from aging is that I miss a lot. I always have but now I know it.
  9. The Narrows has good everything! We would have gone there but I remember their bar area being small. But we were pleased today with what we got today at Fisherman’s. The oyster stew was simple, buttery, creamy, and loaded with oysters. And the cocktails are pretty good too. But, my liver is easy to please.
  10. We ended up at Fisherman Inn today. We are shot up and beyond two weeks, but still being careful. We were surprised no one in the Narrows had their outdoor deck opened, but Fisherman Inn does a nice job of separating guests and isolating tables, at least while we were there. I’m so used to doing everything outdoors that it’s kind of weird being inside. Anyway, in my search yesterday, I was intrigued by O’Shucks Irish Pub in Centerville. Have you been there? Any good?
  11. As I was searching for places to hang out today on KI, that Mexican place had excellent reviews.
  12. My girl is screaming, “Get a rebound!!!” She’s not wrong.
  13. Yeah.A couple of times but before the pandemic. Looking forward to getting back there soon. We do a lot of crabbing in that area so it’s always on the list. eta... yes! That would be fun.
  14. Damn. There will be plenty of opportunities this spring. Lot of good breweries to ride to over there!
  15. @CAPE After my ride, my girl picked me up at the Bay Bridge and then we went to KI for a couple drinks and some grub. Hit up Bakers Wine and Beer on the way out. Cool spot!
  16. I hope that you mean that you like peeper sounds better than cicada, and not comparing volume!
  17. Another good riding Saturday. Well, at least for March. Today’s ride was to the bay bridge, though it’s kind of hard to tell that’s the Bay Bridge.
  18. And... *cue the Jaws music* ... the season of the cicada!
  19. If you can get it, try the Aphotic Ruin. It’s you’re style.
  20. What did you think of it? I work at Nepenthe. Well, I will again when they reopen fully.
  21. Excellent. Sitting in the backseat now struggling to keep my eyes open!
  22. Got up this morning and took a little ride. When I got here, I got a nice pat on the back.
  23. Yes, an old neighborhood and a neighbor that stacks debris in what is supposed to be a drainage gully. But the corrugated black pipe that he laid down on top of the junk is surely helping. There’s just enough weight on the middle of that ten foot plastic section that makes the ends curl up deeming it worthless.
  24. I’m pretty sure that a flame thrower would have a tough time igniting anything around my soggy yard.
