Best potential for us this season so far.
I am most worried about a whiff OTS. GFS has been persistent on that and so many of these big storms have been shredded into oblivion over the past two years it seems impossible to believe one can make it into the GOM near the coast.
It doesn't have the look of a great event. Marginal temps, start as heavy rain, counting on monster rates to materialize...
I have seen many of these storms where it ends up spitting for hours at 33 instead of pounding big rates at 31.
Shifting SE every 6 hours. I'll be fringed by tomorrow afternoon and then will need to wait to see if it comes back.
Very hard to get a low to just climb into the GOM it seems. They either head to the Lakes or get shredded and shunted to the south.
Seems like I will end up with very little precip in general from this whole system. Not really a drop of rain from the first part and this next phase appears to be going well north.
