  1. Did you get the undercoating and seat protection too? LOL
  2. Yippee, another low that climbs up to SNE and then immediately jets off to the east. Fringe time again
  3. What are the thoughts for tomorrow? Models seem decent for a couple inches.
  4. Oh look, another coastal low that can't get into the GOM and just meanders away to the east. How novel.
  5. Black Mountain NH isn't too far away. 40 mins or so. I hadn't checked their website in a while, looks like they finally got some terrain open.
  6. I logged in 4” as my final. Half synoptic and half upslope basically.
  7. 1.4 was the low. Another refresher Sunday?
  8. They are starting to crack up here a little bit. Don’t let the cool facade fool you.
  9. Yeah, they do. Driving around here when a NW flow event is underway is always interesting. There are definitely areas that do well and areas that do poorly in such events.
  10. For sure, @J.Spin wipes me out in terms of accuracy over time in an event. I have a STEM background but his dedication to the craft puts me to shame. I have to respect what he brings to the table. I have learned to use his obs to roughly gauge where things are headed for this area. There is a linkage between the peaks in VT and NH on most of these events if you follow them closely enough.
  11. Nice keep updating. I am trying to catch J. Spin but it is very hard. I need all the moral support I can get in this challenge. He literally measures the flake size at midnight so you can imagine how hard this is.
  12. Still showing here. 11 degrees. Thank God for upslope.
  13. Glad to hear it. Just keep an eye on things and don't try to be a hero if it gets bad. Sounds like you are well-protected against a bad case with the booster. Keep us posted as you feel up to it.
  14. Yeah the yahoos have been out all week. Saw some dudes dressed in animal pajamas goofing off. Kind of a played out thing. LOL College break I assume? I saw like 10 dudes in a BW gondola car singing university fight songs this week. Whole thing was shaking.
  15. Yeah, a vent is a very long recovery. I was shocked with my viral pneumonia how weak I became after just 3 days in the hospital on the lowest level of O2 support (nose thing). Some of these viruses literally attack your whole body and spending 2 weeks in a bed overall atrophies your muscles a lot more than you'd think.
  16. Yep agreed. People are also getting twisted up with the tests. The rapid tests give a decent number of false negatives. If you read the fine print on the rapid tests, they essentially say if you get a negative go get a PCR test. LOL Many people with COVID who tested negative on the quick nose swab test running around out there. I have had viral pneumonia and it sucked majorly so I am telling everyone who has similar symptoms to check various things. Not trying to be a nag, but there are some nasty viruses out there that can cause pneumonia which can be dealt with if you listen to the signs and go to the hospital when you need to do so.
  17. Just something to watch. I don't mean to sound like your mom, just the chest pain thing triggered me since I have had viral pneumonia before and that is a sign. Sometimes worth keeping an eye on the O2 levels. If you don't have shortness of breath probably nothing to worry about. I am just triggered by pneumonia symptoms. PTSD. LOL
  18. We skied Cannon today. The layer of powder/mashed potatoes covered up some of the ice so it was workable. Back to BW on Monday. No one in NH can beat their conditions, IMO. I keep trying these other places and have a good time but our home mountain is BW for sure. They need to get some steeper terrain and glades open though. Getting a little bored just racing my kids on groomers. LOL Wildcat still has very little open. I haven't gone there yet. Waiting until they get a real snowstorm. Their manmade ribbon of death is not compelling.
  19. A mix of snow and blowing snow now. Still coming down well. 17 degrees. I think I have 4” now. Satisfied with that given the setup. We will see if I can get another fluffy inch. It’s a shame the Randolph observer is offline. I always liked to check my weenie measurements against his much more accurate obs. Oh well this is the best you guys are gonna get because I don’t plan to measure the flakes at midnight. LOL
  20. Do you have an O2 sensor (goes on your finger)? Get one. Worth keeping an eye on.
  21. Always cracks me up to drive down rt 2 and it’s just stray flurries in Gorham meanwhile it’s pounding in Randolph. Just did the drive. I would hate to be a snow weenie down there.
  22. Wonder how long this can go? GYX disco doesn’t refer to it at all. Says the snow all shut off already, but they seem super concerned about blowing snow down in Portland.
