Doesn't seem like it. I have heard there are pump failures, electrical failures, the entire snowmaking team quit on them, not enough water, etc. No idea how much of each rumor is true but they seem to be stuck in first gear either way and really not making progress on new terrain. It's definitely possible to hire staff in NH. Bretton Woods seems reasonably well-staffed and they are still blowing snow constantly and adding to the open terrain. Black Mountain is another one that desperately needs this storm.

I have seen a lot of hands-on guys end up getting promoted to political desk jockey roles like that and be miserable though. He'd have to be ready to leave the mountain and get a desk.

Yeah, be very careful in the NNE thread when talking about "bread and butter" and "fake snow." They outwardly project cool but the tension is palpable. If the upslope doesn't come in from this event there could be some rage in the Northern Greens. LOL

Hopefully Wildcat gets 20". It would totally change their season since they seem unable to make snow. Attitash needs it too.

2.25 inches of liquid. (forgot to include the upslope piece) I am jammed against the northern Presidentials so my exact location is hard to differentiate on the snow maps from the peaks where the 3k always goes nuts with rime ice accretion. That model shows like 2-3 feet on the peaks every single run due to that error. Looks like 18 or so here but the 3k gets mix very close by. Poor Gorham snow weenies. Definitely an event where it's rain down there and blasting paste up the hill.

If the idea is that all the good precip falls in 6 hours and that is snowfall rates of 2-3" an hour, I would definitely sell that. In my experience, the models are quick to spit out monster rates but then they don't materialize. Same thing with people predicting big ratios. Usually verifies as something more pedestrian. I still like 8-10" or so here if this thing hauls ass as much as it looks like it will.
