  1. Close to a foot of depth now. This stake started at about 5 inches before this storm, so about 7 here now. Piling up very fast.
  2. Looks to be snowing well at Wildcat. I hope they get at least a foot.
  3. I’m a snow depth/retention fan too so this will still be nice. Looking forward to clearing it when I get there.
  4. Temp spiked to 27 so warm air is lurking. I think I stay below 32 while the heavy precip is here.
  5. Piling up fast now. My stick says 5”. These are not official measurements of course as there is drifting. Should top 12” total depth on my depth stake shortly. Never seen it go up this fast.
  6. I don’t see the 2” of liquid forecasts really materializing in the snow spots though. The Berks for example.
  7. Looks like heavy stuff moving in now. Measuring stick at 4” now.
  8. 3 so far according to my measuring stick. 20 degrees.
  9. GFS totally lost the storm too. Might want to just delete this thread and try again later.
  10. The 3k definitely just went nuts in the Berks and S VT. Wow.
  11. Getting firehosed with rain down here so I could see some serious rates developing when this hits the Whites.
  12. The 00z HRRR juiced up some too. It'll be interesting to see where our totals end up. Mitch is another "measure the flake size at midnight and 6 AM" guy though, right? Very hard to catch those guys when they do not miss a single 0.1".
  13. Turning to slush now. Hope it all melts. I don't want to shovel this crap.
  14. Definitely easier to get blown out and be able to just turn it off at halftime than fall short at the last minute.
  15. That's where the 3 big synoptic storms last year ended up and is a common range looking back in the record. Probably a good call. Great pack-building snow.
  16. Randolph cam for tomorrow, FYI: https://video.nest.com/live/KaUbLsdLHN
  17. Nope, coming up just after the storm. Just bad timing with some plans we had here in MD.
  18. Down to 9 in Randolph. Can’t argue the airmass that is in place for this one.
  19. 2 inches and some decent bursts down here in MD. More than I expected, actually. The snow laid on every surface immediately too which is pretty rare here. Usually hours of time and a quarter inch of precip are wasted cooling the fricking earth as millions of precious snowflakes make the ultimate sacrifice. Heavy rain overnight but all snow for now. Pingers in DC though I think. So it's coming.
  20. I am new to New England, but you seem to live in a terrible screw zone just based on me observing models. LOL did you check out climo records before moving there? Just a bad stretch of years?
  21. Yeah, GYX trimmed back the 18-24 stuff for their zones which I think makes sense. This thing has mixing issues and is hauling ass. Doesn't seem like something with widespread 15"+ totals. I know the idea is 6-7 hours of monstrous rates but we all know a couple hours of that will be spent on spottier stuff like always.
  22. More snow than I expected. About 2" in Kingsville.
