  1. 18z EPS was the first run in a long while that reversed the trend of the mean precip totals sliding east. Pretty solid reversal too. Even as everyone said the EPS was "steady," that mean precip kept sliding. But it finally stopped. Hopefully a good omen.
  2. Thousand of weenies refreshing every 2 seconds to hear Will say: "GFS will be west. Way more amped already at 24" or "Gives the Cape a few inches at least" We will see.
  3. yeah, that place seems defunct to me. I have eaten at a ton of places around here. Any preferences on what you are looking for? We like J's Corner in Gorham as a simple, cheap, reliable spot after a long day of skiing or hiking. Food is good, there are always tables, and the service is quick. It has a decent menu. Tuckerman's is also good further south on 16 for "general American cuisine." Wildcat Tavern is OK, used to be better until they switched chefs. Very crowded, hard to get in sometimes. But a cool decor and some "fancier" type food for a romantic dinner. May Kelly's Cottage has awesome Irish food and beer. Hours are super weird now. We went there twice when they said they'd be open and instead they were closed. Odd. Call ahead for sure, but worth going. We like Recklis Brewing in Bethlehem. Also gets crowded sometimes but always a good time with good food. I like the Glen House restaurant on 16 as well. My wife doesn't for some reason, but I do. LOL worth checking out. A little pricy. These are some highlights. I can offer more if you have something specific in mind.
  4. Yes, because you consider anything less than 24" to be not worth your time, I think. I'm just trying to explain why those on the western and northern areas around your E MA bubble are on edge. The last two days of runs have literally bounced between MECS and zilch every 6 hours while you bounced between 18 and 36.
  5. LOL no. Clearly not paying attention outside E MA. I have been going back and forth between mostly whiff and 12"+ for a while. Most central and western zones have been doing the same thing.
  6. @powderfreak @Angus Hit Wildcat today and have to give credit where it is due. Conditions were damn good. They had a few trails groomed and clearly they had given them good attention. There was also some decent fun on the ungroomed trails. It wasn't just icy mounds like last season. You could still carve your way down between the bumps. Mountain was empty so we had the place to ourselves. Overall, a good day. Kids all had fun. Hopefully things are turning around for Wildcat. Can't beat the views on a clear day either. They still need snow though. Natural trails are really thin. A cutter would knock out like 70% of the open terrain there.
