Yeah, trends since 18z are for this to be a decent east flow event for the whites. Models all have enhanced precip over us. I am thinking 6-10 but NAM and the 18z Euro hint at a boom potential of 12"+.
Yeah, 06z or really 12z is when you could have some confidence for the hinterlands given all the shifting that has occurred. Coastal areas are locking in, IMO.
Yeah, that just doesn't happen down south. When we had temps in the teens, it almost never snowed because it meant strong high pressure was in control. Maybe some flurries at best.
I haven't been paying attention to the temps, but just realized that this could be heavy snow at zero or below here? That's nuts. Never experienced that in my life.
I think down your way the models have seemed much steadier but on the fringes it has been a rollercoaster. This is the biggest Euro run since several days ago when this thing was right up on the coast and giving me 2 feet. Hopefully 00z is rocking and not a rug pull.
