Yeah, trends since 18z are for this to be a decent east flow event for the whites. Models all have enhanced precip over us. I am thinking 6-10 but NAM and the 18z Euro hint at a boom potential of 12"+.

Much better vibe here than the MA storm threads, IMO. Helps that storms actually trend better at go time and work out here. LOL -
GFS is stubbornly moving towards the NAM/Euro slowly.

Yeah, 06z or really 12z is when you could have some confidence for the hinterlands given all the shifting that has occurred. Coastal areas are locking in, IMO.

Snowstorms are always much more fun when the NWS downplays and then has to scramble to up totals throughout the day, so I'm good with it.

Yeah, that just doesn't happen down south. When we had temps in the teens, it almost never snowed because it meant strong high pressure was in control. Maybe some flurries at best.

I haven't been paying attention to the temps, but just realized that this could be heavy snow at zero or below here? That's nuts. Never experienced that in my life.

Probably already posted but 00z ICON made a solid jump west too. Just another log on the fire.

RGEM definitely bumped precip in NW zones but it is not like the NAM yet. Looks like what I expect from the GFS. Solid move but not a HECS bomb.

18z Euro going west was huge in signaling that the NAM might be on the something. Hopefully GFS goes nuts for once. GGEM could also be crazy.

LOL 3k just made a huge shift to agree with the 12k. Not sure it has this figured out.

NAM has room to get better, it didn't even do the hook into the GOM that the Euro did.

It's been moving steadily NW last 24 hours. Hopefully it has a couple more in it.

I think down your way the models have seemed much steadier but on the fringes it has been a rollercoaster. This is the biggest Euro run since several days ago when this thing was right up on the coast and giving me 2 feet. Hopefully 00z is rocking and not a rug pull.

18z NAM and 18z Euro precip maps look really similar. Totals, distribution... EE rule engaged.
