I have an ambient weather station too. Are you happy with it?

A few clouds passing overhead now. Cooled it down a degree and a half already. Little breeze going too.

I really want to go roll around in those leftover snow piles.

85/60 here. Grass on the hill is like kindling.

No black flies here yet. Some mosquitoes in the evenings.

They are all over the fields here.

I have been enjoying the 40 degree temp swings.

It was falling apart and we had it removed. One side of it had bent and ripped open from the ground heaving underneath.

It needs to cool down soon.

Yep, the Appalachia/Valley Way access point is essentially across the road from my property. We already hiked up to a few of the falls. I will take it step-by-step with the kids. They wanted to scale the mountain the minute they saw it. The Randolph Mountain Club seems to be a pretty big deal, and I plan to be a part of that and donate to support the amazing work they do. They have shelters on the mountain that they pay someone to live in all year to help hikers which is amazing to me.

I may break down and buy one. I noticed the local walmart in Gorham has them front and center and they were moving briskly. My basement stays at 68-70 even during the peak heat so going down there is like hitting the A/C. Also, my well water is balls cold so a spray from the hose helps.

Yeah, the local folks I have talked to seem to be enjoying this weather because it apparently is pretty rare for a long stretch. I would like to see some rain and thunderstorms though.

Funny story, the fuel guy's boss was here today to fix the fuel oil line, and I told him how the other guy had mentioned the snow and the need to keep it cleared so he could get the truck down to the house. He just smirked and said, "well, you know he is from Vermont but he will get used to it."

I can't wait.

I don't have A/C... I hope it cools off during the day soon. This is hotter than I expected.

A real roaster today. It'll take a bit for the upstairs to cool off. These logs hold in the heat. Very nice now. 70 and a great view.

Crazy change. Woke up chilly with the windows open and now I'm baking.

My GPS put me at between 1550 and 1500 in the house. So around thereabouts. It’s definitely a decent hike up from rt 2 to the house. It goes up 100-200+ feet for sure The fuel guy came by today and asked if I had plowing lined up. He said it gets really hairy on my driveway in the winter, said it’s common for there to be nothing on the roads in Berlin and a foot on the ground on my driveway so the plow guy from down in the town needs to be on the ball... plow guy had to bring in front loaders last year to remove the snow because they ran out of places to shove it.

I keep waiting for that weather I was told was a regular occurrence up here. So far, it's been hotter and drier here than in MD most days.
