  1. I used to all the time, but then my kid was caught in a rip current and I had to haul him out. Ever since then I am nervous about it, for myself and others. I know how to escape a rip current but that doesn’t remove all concern.
  2. Seems like the next 12 days will bring more “normal” high temps to the area? Looks like mid-70s for Randolph for the period. Some upper 50s for lows in there too. I expected to see more of that honestly. Everywhere I look says the average low is in the 50s here. I guess this is peak warmth time and it has been one of the hottest July’s ever, but still. Sheesh.
  3. I need multiple depraved steamy sex scenes, preferably between different alien species, to consider purchasing your book. Let me know what to expect in that regard. Thanks in advance.
  4. That's a really stupid map. It's also unhelpful and incorrect.
  5. I use the same method as J.Spin. It really only fails when the min at night is high and very humid. Sucking 70 degree moist air into the house can turn it first into a swamp overnight, and then a furnace the next day. I made that mistake a few times before I got the hang of it. A dehumidifier is just as helpful as an AC unit in this scenario. We all know 75 with 50% humidity feels much, much nicer than 75 with 90% humidity. Our log home holds whatever air you feed it really well. If you suck in some "bad" air it takes forever to scour it all out.
  6. Really glad I am not in Randolph right now. "Only" 80 degrees today but has been over 70 the last two nights. The observer up the road left a note that he hasn't seen that in the 20 years he's been doing the obs. Can't handle that without AC. It's about a million degrees here in DE but at least I have AC. This damned planet is out of control.
  7. Do you actually show up? LOL Finding good tradesmen who are not slammed with work is hard these days.
  8. Just put Palmer out there to toss 60 mph curve balls.
  9. The opening day starter was a mediocre relief pitcher. The worst opening day starter of all time? Is there no one else on the farm? Our rotation must be complete garbage.
  10. The team that was out there tonight was totally foreign. Who are these clowns?
  11. I have it on in the background. That's the Baltimore way.
  12. I picked up a bunch last time I was in Millville. At Holt's.
  13. They will set the record for fewest wins in a season in history for sure, I would think.
  14. I am in MD this week. I will be back in NH soon and be bored of this all. Hang tight. Drinking a 120 min tonight though.
  15. Imperial Engineers of Massachusetts Duh, everyone knows that.
  16. Yes, the many little streams on my property all have water in them now. It was really dry for a while there. The vegetation is exploding again.
  17. I'm not blaming the schools. I am not blaming anyone in particular. I am just noting it's going to be an unmitigated disaster for the kids, and I am glad to not be a part of it. I recommend any families that have the means to homeschool to consider doing so. It removes so much of the uncertainty that is out there right now.
  18. Keeping you a bit cooler. 73/67 in Randolph. No precipitation.
  19. So glad we opted completely out of the school system. What a sh*tshow.
  20. OK, I avoid 18-29 year olds like the plague so that's probably part of it.
  21. Just wondering, where are you guys seeing these non-mask wearers? I have been bouncing around a lot on the road between NH, DE, and MD, and I see the vast majority of people wearing masks as directed. This idea that legions of non-mask wearers are keeping the spread going seems a bit suspect to me... where are these people? I must not be nearby.
  22. The #StayAtHome crowd doesn’t care.
  23. It’s absolutely ridiculous for any of us to expect a poor mother in Baltimore working 2 service jobs to be able to do remote learning for her 3 kids. They are going to be running the streets.
