  1. 2 hours later... still at 44/35. Stuck. I don't radiate.
  2. Yep. Enjoy your fake cold down there.
  3. Yeah, well I will probably hit like 34/33 whereas Alex will somehow manage 27. LOL
  4. Freeze warning here. We will see if we get there. Should get the leaf colors really rolling, though.
  5. Do you stop partway through mowing to clean the blade and blow the grass off the tractor? He does that, and I assume it is peak lawn fan behavior.
  6. Yes, I suspect that's what happened here. Gotta water the hell out of your lawn if you want to keep it golf course short in a drought.
  7. Yup, that's what I figured. You sound like my neighbor in MD. He has to mow. He cannot resist.
  8. I wonder how often DIT mowed during the drought. For the lawn fanatics I know, the act of mowing is a ritualized thing and a huge part of the appeal of the "lifestyle." Letting your lawn grow a little longer to survive a dry period is going to be very hard for a lawn Nazi to handle.
  9. I decided instead of getting mad I'd just leapfrog the issue altogether.
  10. Nice, we can see who has more snowy days this winter.
  11. I might need to wear pants this winter. I am one of those guys who wears shorts all year (unless I am going out somewhere a little nicer or at a work thing, at least). Basically, anything above 40 is shorts and a t-shirt. I will have a light jacket available if needed.
  12. I'm thinking I should root for a dominant northern stream parade of clippers.
  13. You can come camp in my barn, just be quiet when you arrive.
  14. It’s just a Nest cam. It was easy and cheap. I would like to upgrade the one facing the mountains, but my internet bandwidth sucks so bad it probably wouldn’t make it any better than the Nest for the rest of you. Kinda pointless for me to look through the cam when I am at the house so no help there. LOL
  15. Good call. I have a camera in plan to set up facing the sheltered north part of my property that drifts a lot.
  16. An age-old debate. Get the precipitation locked in first, because eventually the cold will arrive, or vice versa. I can say down in the tropics of the MA we always root for lasting cold first.
  17. That’s what I have noticed. I am frequently a couple degrees cooler for a high than the usual rad pits each day. Got down to 35 last night.
  18. Stuck at 40. I can't keep pace with the king radiators.
  19. OK, I thought it had to hit the ground and be observable as snow to be a trace of the stuff.
  20. Looks like Randolph received a trace on 9/17/2011. In the 10 years of records, that's it in terms of recorded snow for September. I assume there has been some mixed garbage that melts before contact for brief periods in the past. If it's getting into the 30s already it seems possible at least for some junk to mix in briefly under the right conditions. But I am still usually sitting on the beach late September so to even be discussing snow possibilities in this month is fine by me.
  21. I was actually wondering what you'd think about that. I had figured the Muslim community would be a little ticked off since I have heard it paints them in somewhat of a bad light (in addition to the other massive issues with the movie).
