  1. The seasonal number is what really made me shake my head. Just doesn't fit what I have seen on the models this season at all.
  2. I see that they are reporting 141" so far this season? That seems really unlikely given the reports from the rest of the mountains around them. We have not had many upslope events and they missed on the last synoptic event. Where is that snow even coming from? Something like 70" inches of it is from events that didn't impact anyone else in NNE? That seems way out of the realm of believable. Yikes.
  3. Sure glad I moved as far north as I could tolerate.
  4. Well, Wildcat must be sinking its claws in to me because I skied there today even though it was raining and the natural trails were completely bare in some spots. LOL not my usually preferred conditions for sure. But it was soft, so little ice. Kinda neat this afternoon. It would be drizzle at the base, then about halfway up you'd hit a cloud layer where it felt like being pelted with sleet, and then above that it opened up into dry fluffy snow. Pretty cool, actually. Felt like ascending into the heavens. Also weird to have the upper half of the mountain be firm and fast and the bottom half sticky spring snow. Made things interesting at least. I don't think I have seen such a drastic delta in conditions between base and summit on any days I have been skiing. Maybe out west some day a long while ago and I forgot about it. Something about the mountain is clicking with me and two of my kids this season. The wife and the other two kids are pretty meh about it. It's a good place for us to go when the wife wants to take a day off.
  5. We all look the same buried in snow.
  6. This reminds me of MD HECS snow. Moderate flake size and falling straight down. Good for piling up.
  7. @dendrite i assume the big empty area on radar between VT and eastern NH is a radar beam issue and not a real screw zone?
  8. Mod to heavy snow will be my ob for the next 24 hours it looks like.
  9. They aren’t in that thread either. No idea where they are. Usually J. Spin is updating us every .10 and PF is posting radar shots of stationary bands over Stowe.
  10. HRRR and RAP really narrowing that snow band.
  11. Truthfully, no one in his climate zone is cleaning up. It’s mixed crap all the way to south of the Whites on some of these runs. So he isn’t missing by just miles. This is like me being pissed that Nova Scotia is getting a snowstorm and I’m not.
  12. Model support is there for sure. Seems like as the storm departs we could have a fluffier band for a few hours that could pad the totals with some bootleg “fake snow.”
  13. Bit more 40 degree drizzle than I expected or care for, but finally getting rolling now.
  14. The band of snow on the HRRR is getting awfully narrow.
  15. Good timing for my PWS to poop out and stop reporting temp.
  16. Yeah DP is 34 here so I think once precip starts I will fall into the mid-30s with wet snow.
  17. Alex is still 45 over at Bretton Woods. Cold air is taking its sweet time for sure. No big push yet. No precip here yet so not getting rained on.
