  1. It’s like crack. Even when you have a steady supply you still end up in alleys making deals for a little more.
  2. GYX saying 2-3” tomorrow into Thursday morning for mountain regions of NH.
  3. Nice setup. If you don’t mind me asking, what did that run you (the snow gun I mean). You can PM me the details if you don’t mind. I have a stream here and it might be neat to pump some water through one of these.
  4. LOL how’d you get a snow gun? I would do that but my well situation here is kinda iffy. You pump it from the river or a well?
  5. I catch plenty of blue crabs in DE in the summer. No lack of that resource.
  6. I will only eat seafood if I prepare it myself or it’s done just right. Otherwise the smell and texture gets to me too.
  7. LOL yeah not doubting the observer (since it turns out part of his property is intertwined with mine and he is a local fixture — interesting story). But sensible weather is not always the same thing as a scientific technical measurement. I’m sure he recorded a half-inch or perhaps even an inch yesterday and today. But there was never an inch OTG here at any one time. Like I was saying, I am just waiting for a nice synoptic walloping. Been years for me since I have seen one. I am definitely in love with upslope, no doubt. But it seems like a better appetizer or dessert for me. Can’t survive on just jalapeño poppers and fried ice cream without an entree in the middle sometimes.
  8. We are around average/typical for this time of year. Things have been focused more in VT so far but things will shift back and forth as the season progresses I’m sure.
  9. I assume the horrific winter of 2015-2016 was basically this same shit pattern wire-to-wire?
  10. Assuming we can squeeze out an inch or so in the slopfests over the next week, I will end up with 12-13 inches so far on the season which is basically right on schedule with the average CoCoRaHS data. It needs to start rapidly ramping up in December to stay on track, however.
  11. A chilly one today. 22 and dropping fast. Topped out at 24.
  12. There is sometimes a guy in Gorham who comes up from the Maine coast to sell fresh seafood each day.
  13. The seafood up here has been really good. No complaints. There is a place in Gorham that has a huge platter of shrimp, clams, scallops, and fish for 25 bucks. Can’t beat it. The idea of Baltimore being a hub for great seafood is basically a joke these days used for tourist marketing purposes.
  14. Only makes sense if you are opposed to eating meat on an ideological level and really want a Whopper. LOL The burger version of lesbians wearing strap-ons basically.
  15. The Impossible Whopper is surprisingly good. But it is basically not any healthier than the regular Whopper.
  16. The overnight Euro showed another nasty cutter for the storm early next week, but I’m hoping it shifts east a little. GYX seems to think it will ride up the coast.
  17. A troll living rent free... hate to see it.
  18. Yes, with my immediate household members. We are in NH so no one wants to drive all the way up here to see us anyway.
  19. Let's get back to talking about our massive cutters and cold drizzle.
  20. I can get rid of you Vermonters easy just by calling the ‘vid police and reporting a quarantine violation.
