BW is probably the best mountain out there to learn to ski and that includes glade skiing. They have a good number of open glade areas like this.

I need the snow here. Pack settled half an inch to 29.5 and the winter sports industry is crippled again!

Yeah, not as well as J. Spin and gang but upper tier for NH. If they get 4”, I get 2.5 or 3 kinda deal.

Up here it does. LOL We like that sparkling look on the snow and more loaded on the trees.

Some signs a northern stream NW flow pattern might set up. That’s one thing kinda missing so far this season.

Models look like 3-6 here at the moment. Nice refresher. Looks like the upslope machine gets rolling too.

Most days here I don't need AC but there a couple weeks each year between May and September it seems where the humidity spikes up and the sun bakes the great room and master bedroom via the picture windows. Then at night the temp only gets down to upper 60s with still high humidity. Hard to fix that without HVAC intervention. Also, we'd like to use the heat pumps in the shoulder seasons to offset the oil hot water radiators a little.

I like to mix it up, but I do prefer firm and fast groomers to bump runs. I find that in NH at least the days when the bumps are softer and fun are far less frequent than the days when they are just frozen humps with ice lanes in between. Not so fun IMO. You need to time it right based on the weather and skier traffic Some of these resorts try to hide bad grooming practices and lack of snowfall/snowmaking by just leaving a trail alone and letting it go “natural” (AKA to shit). You kinda need snow for that to work…

Been a decent winter for the eastern upslopes.

I’m just planning for a refresher here. NAM is overdone most likely, but HRRR looked tasty too. Very fragile setup, it’ll keep shifting around. I have a hot hand last few weeks so why not expect more snow?

NAM still paints a 6” or so snowfall for here. Kicks off some upslope it seems.

Is the HRRR at 48 like the GFS at 384 and NAM at 84? Looks great but…

I’m putting a heat pump in too. Need AC here in summer some nights to clear the humidity at least and cool the great room after the sun torches it through the big windows into the 80s

Another model jumping back west. Certainly nothing like the GFS.

GFS is literally nothing of note anywhere near NE. It's not even "trying." One of these camps will bust shortly. This thing is not that far away.

Too bad they hate it down there. It melts absurdly fast too. Really just an annoyance for them. Everyone we know in coastal DE is bitching about it.

Not worried about ICON, but OTS and dry is always the concern here. I can turn almost anything into a 31 degree snowstorm at my location, but I can't do anything with a clean whiff. Give me heavy precip and a "marginal airmass" any day of the week, please.
