  1. Gotta love the models. When I went to bed, I was cursing the Euro, now I’m rooting for it.
  2. Good 00z suite so far. I will be asleep for when the Euro drives the low up into Michigan.
  3. Glad the GFS held to the coastal. Looks better than 18z here.
  4. If you are looking at the NAVGEM things must really be dire.
  5. I don’t expect wire-to-wire snow. Of course it will rain sometimes. However, some temps below the upper 30s for a week would be nice. Also, a break from wet inland runners. Cold and dry is fine for a bit. Hopefully the Euro is wrong.
  6. Thanks for getting where I am coming from.
  7. Yes, I realize I am a weenie but the weather has been putrid for the ski places as well. Hopefully that changes next week, but an inland runner this weekend wouldn’t help, even with a couple inches of fluff on the backside. It needs to be colder and for longer.
  8. It’s the cutters. Yes, I realize after my 2 inches of driving 50 degree rain it may then snow a couple inches onto my mud the next day. But then the temps go back into the upper 30s as it dries out anyway. It’s been like that for November. I could just do without the warm cutters and the persistently above-normal temps in between the couple inches of upslope. It’s not the raw snow total number I am really worried about. Randolph can nickle and dime a decent season together.
  9. Some snow and temps below 40 degrees for more than a day or two would do it.
  10. We will see if the others cave to it tonight.
  11. West enough to rain on all of us followed by out to sea sounds about right. Any chance 12/7 turns into a blizzard for Norfolk? That would just feel right.
  12. That is partly true, but my average in November is around 15” so definitely somewhat off the pace. There is a ton of variability in the data given it is an early month, however, so 9 inches is probably around the median. The locals here have said the biggest thing setting this November apart so far is the lack of any sort of persistent cold and that the snow that did fall barely even lasted a day, much less formed any sort of pack. Things look to turn around starting tomorrow, however.
  13. Another terrible run. Amazing how quickly the models turn gold into garbage.
  14. Wow, nice haul. 8.9" in November according to the Randolph observer. A bit off the normal pace. Many people around Randolph Hill have been commenting that it's been a slow start, but they expect it to pick up soon. Definitely been a different winter so far between our two areas. I can see why folks in your area would be scratching their heads about all the grousing in other spots. There have been several nice events already.
  15. GYX talking up some nice squalls for tomorrow for the usual areas.
  16. Cold front finally arrived from Georgia. Gusting again and temp finally into the upper 40s.
  17. 18z GFS still ends up fine here in the end, but hate to see this inland runner look again. Why can’t these damn lows run up the coast?
  18. I know, right? @ravensrule never would have left bait like that sitting there.
  19. I have seen a few pics. The prior owner had a few on Facebook. More stories from the neighbors here telling me I will be begging for mercy any day now... it does precipitate here a lot in certain patterns. I’m sure when temps are not near 60 the snow can really pile up.
  20. I am hoping for a solid 5 inches (that doesn’t take like 3 days to accumulate) and like 3-4 days of temps in the mid 20s to enjoy it.
  21. Hopefully we all are satisfied. I am fine with a nice snowstorm hitting SNE and giving me a few inches of upslope and cold afterwards. Sign me up.
  22. It’s Will’s fault. He told me to buy this house.
