  1. What are we talking in terms of extra snow? This is of course different with a large bombing low pull down moisture on NW winds. Seems like a good setup.
  2. Might be a little too far east for Texas given all the ticks.
  3. I have a mix here now at 34 degrees. Light rain and some gloppy flurries buzzing around.
  4. The RGEM is terrible in all facets for basically everyone. Further east and warmer. Gross.
  5. Yep, I have noticed the recent runs that miss us with some of the synoptic stuff keep upslope overhead for a long while.
  6. The HRRR was upgraded recently right? Are you guys trusting it? I have always known it to run kinda warm.
  7. Definitely more snow mixed in now. I can see the line dropping on radar over the whites. Should flip at some point here.
  8. In MD, we call it the "Westminster Death Band" because it is always over Westminster, MD no matter where models show the best precip.
  9. Well, on the Kuchera maps I went from like 30" to 23" to 17" in the last three NAM runs. Hope this is it for the "tics."
  10. I will do that until the storm is over. I am figuring I am locked in for 5-7 just from upslope and orographic enhancement stuff as long as this thing just keeps "tic'ing" or whatever.
  11. NAM does that all the time in storms down south in my experience, yet there is always a mega-band that develops in the fringe zone that jackpots them. It loves the super-sharp cutoff.
  12. Yeah, west and deeper than 18z as it rounds the cape, but the NW cutoff is really tight now.
  13. Definitely a little east with a wicked cutoff. I am riding the line here suddenly.
  14. Some of this on the NAM seems to just be the precip shield tightening up. I have seen it do that many times. It is usually too aggressive with the mega-cutoff.
  15. Those WB snow maps really are aggressive with the totals. The map on TT is quite a bit more tame (still really good, but not a huge fat stripe of 12-15 like that.
  16. 00z HRRR is definitely a bit east with the low position. Hope this "tic" bullshit reverses on the majors for 00z.
  17. I am getting light rain here. There may be some flakes mixed. It looks like really "thick" rain and kinda gloopy in the light. 34 degrees.
  18. I don't have access to the 18z Euro maps, but the 12z Euro had 17" at my exact lat/long. Just eyeballing the 18z map it looked just a little lower (different color scale from Pivotal). Anyway, too much parsing of one run.
  19. Still 12-15 here so basically the same as 12z. But others further west are getting slowly bled to death on this so one weenie on a rowboat in the ocean can get chillier rain.
  20. Is this what you guys call the “messenger shuffle”?
  21. Flurries here. Forecast is for 12-18. Things are good.
