A bunch of the athletes have been talking the same way. Clearly some sponsorship money and/or threats involved. China is serious about cutting people off for criticizing the regime. I’m sure the networks were warned. They know the deal.

You must really want this one… you’ve been hanging out with some really disreputable models lately. LOL
-
You know a threat is dead when the thread devolves to discussing the same old snowstorms of the past again.
-
"Still a few inches for the Cape" is the potential of this one.
-
Clinging to the ICON... you hate to see it.
-
Still LOLing at this being the venue for the big air competition. The wider shot below is even worse. How was this the best option?
-
Yeah whiff is always the most likely outcome, IMO. This looks like another tease job to me, but Will being so hyped up he is posting 84 hr RGEM and NAM plots is keeping me intrigued, or maybe he’s just super drunk.

Not sure why you guys are fighting. We all know this will end up with rain and ice there and 15” of powder here, in the place where snow wants to live.

zzzzzzzzz Wake me up when a varsity model has a real storm.

32" is the average across my property. I tend to have a wide swing between north and south facing aspects, but given the cold temps so far it's fairly consistent it seems. Once it hits 2 feet of dense glacier it just feels "thick" out there and the additional snow just piles on without changing the feel too much. I have to break up the pack with the shovel backwards used like a hammer and then I can shovel or snowblow the chunks.

Thanks. That WV report would have been measured around 13" at Jay in a windblown gulley... Sorry @bwt3650

Glad you had a fun NH day (albeit in a "work" context so I get that aspect of it). See, it snows here too!
-
32" or so last check. The 6" from today mostly pancaked down on the 29" I had going in. It's dense as shit. You could build an ice palace out of it like Elsa from Frozen. Must be many inches of water in it. I'm sure it is skiable.

The Randolph Hill CoCoRaHS observer also went offline this fall which really sucks. I relied on his obs to validate my own weenie obs and to fill in the gaps when I am not here. Very diligent observer who captured every tenth, it seems. It's a data-sparse environment here outside of the big events when sometimes you get these random reports in the PNS from "trained spotters" in various spots in Randolph and Gorham that drop out of the sky with zero context. The 1.4 NE Randolph observer was good at capturing the 2.5" of fluff that fell that night when yet again it was just flurries in Gorham. I mean, it's literally snowing right now and probably doing nothing in Gorham or even down in the lower main town of Randolph.

FYI, my cam is back up now, should be up for good now, in case you didn't have it: https://video.nest.com/live/KaUbLsdLHN Every time I mess with it it ends up with a new web link which is annoying...

You guys absolutely nailed the last storm (SWFE) here though. The forecast for here on the SNE blizzard was pretty good too as I recall. This event was tricky as hell, I didn't expect much at all so it isn't like I was sitting here waiting for the bust. I was shocked to wake up to 4-5 and snowing hard. I think the biggest misses are on the lame looking upslope that instead piles up to 3-4" of fluff out of nowhere. BTV seems to laser-in on that stuff. The microclimates around here are crazy; makes it hard to produce maps for the general populace I'm sure. BTV office is lucky they don't have to deal with the population centers and long commutes to BOS you have to deal with.

My man @Jmister can help.

I seem to get some of my best snows when GYX says "less than an inch" so...
-
Been a really nice stretch since mid-Jan. I can see how a 250" winter could happen if this tempo kept up pretty much from late-November to mid-April. I have a feeling the big winters in the Randolph record must have featured some large marginal events. My spot seems to really crush those. East-flow firehoses at 31 degrees.

Still snowing lightly here. Snowed for over 24 hours now.
-
Hard to believe that's the best spot they could find. Looks like something from a cyberpunk dystopia movie.
-
Yep, solid bust. Towards the end the snow was melting/pancaking as fast or faster than it was falling though.
