  1. Can’t you hook @WxUSAF up with some better model data? NASA or wherever he works doesn’t have the good stuff apparently. LOL
  2. @Jmister looks like a good storm for you man!
  3. If zwyts isn’t here you know the models look like shit for DC. If Ian shows up, a HECS is imminent.
  4. Pretty good forecast @WxUSAF Can’t think of anything if change.
  5. I’m sure DC will score some snow on the backend as the low pulls away and 2 inches of 35 degree rain has fallen. Yep.
  6. The blast from a nuclear weapon is definitely warm.
  7. LOL yeah it’s basically the thunder dome down there.
  8. Very active weather down here. I’m glad it’s cold at least to hold on to my pack while I’m gone.
  9. Now that’s more like it for this region
  10. I’m everywhere. I’m standing right behind you now.
  11. Very classic storm for this region. The kind of storm our grandpappies enjoyed a few times every winter but have seemingly gone extinct lately.
  12. It is so hard to get it to snow in some of these places. It takes a damned miracle setup every time now. So glad I have other options.
  13. That's a whole lot of plain rain on the UKMET, or perhaps sleet.
  14. How can anyone prefer 34 degree heavy rain to a snowstorm? Makes no sense to me.
  15. So easy to be a contrarian negative weenie in this region.
  16. Well, they are melting down in the MA forum, so I assume that means you guys are partying up here?
  17. You will get the lollis to 10-12 up there. No mixing. Just lack of precip. I said a few days ago these monster rate events often seem to fizzle and those with good temps waste hours getting spitting snow while those getting yellow-banded are at 35 degrees.
  18. This feels like a very sloppy 4-10 across the area kind of thing to me. A pretty classic event for the region, actually. We don't get these types of standard-issue events much anymore.
  19. I mentioned it at 18z yesterday. I was told the models still had enough precip to support December 2009 totals across the land. LOL
  20. Relying on a "heavy rain to CCB snows as the low departs" scenario is likely to be a heartbreaker.
  21. The RGEM and ICON paint this thing as basically a sleet bomb for the I-95 corridor now.
  22. ICON maps on TT do not show mix. So when it shows rain over your house with temps in the upper 20s, that's either sleet or ZR. I assume that is what its causing the confusion.
