That's possible. I could see you getting 8 inches or so. You will have an interval of sleet or ZR in the middle, totals will depend on how long it lasts and if the CCB stuff materializes, which is never a sure bet around here.

There is pretty good consensus that areas east of I-81 gets some snow, then sleet/rain, and then a little snow on the backside. Totals will depend on the length of the front thump and backside snows. Places near DC will not get much snow. Don't be fooled by the snow maps. Most of them interpret sleet as snow and will be way off.

Best case scenario for those east of I-81 is a thump of a couple inches, dry slot drizzle/sleet, then a couple inches on the backside.

There are always nowcast surprises and there is cold air around. Not like this is a 60s right before the storm deal. Someone will get a good snowstorm unexpectedly.
