  1. That's possible. I could see you getting 8 inches or so. You will have an interval of sleet or ZR in the middle, totals will depend on how long it lasts and if the CCB stuff materializes, which is never a sure bet around here.
  2. I never said anything about warning level snowfall. Read my post again, slower this time, weenie.
  3. There is pretty good consensus that areas east of I-81 gets some snow, then sleet/rain, and then a little snow on the backside. Totals will depend on the length of the front thump and backside snows. Places near DC will not get much snow. Don't be fooled by the snow maps. Most of them interpret sleet as snow and will be way off.
  4. It's pretty clear what's happening, but let the football spiking continue in the ever-shrinking jackpot zone south of the Mason-Dixon.
  5. The "pummeled" zone is getting rather narrow...
  6. Latest HRRR is basically showing this scenario, it appears.
  7. Best case scenario for those east of I-81 is a thump of a couple inches, dry slot drizzle/sleet, then a couple inches on the backside.
  8. So basically this is the atmosphere going well out of its way to screw the MA to the greatest extent possible? Kinda impressive, really.
  9. Pretty easy forecast for DC. "Rain, heavy at times. Rain may mix with some sleet early. 34 degrees."
  10. Yeah, I don't remember it always requiring a miracle to snow decently down here even with a good pattern, but maybe that is just the rose-tinted glasses.
  11. 31/22 8/-2.4 up north LOL Plenty of cold air up there.
  12. I’m going to have virga for hours here. But sure, it always works out.
  13. “Come in hot and heavy” is another thing that often doesn’t work out. That one dude from Blacksburg will have a foot on his patio table before I even have flurries.
  14. There are always nowcast surprises and there is cold air around. Not like this is a 60s right before the storm deal. Someone will get a good snowstorm unexpectedly.
  15. Still 24 hours of runs for the NW crew to get shafted. This thing looks better for northern NH every run so probably a bad sign for down here.
  16. After all these years, people still don’t recognize when psuhoffman goes into reverse psychology mode. LOL
  17. The 3k NAM is 2 feet in Randolph. What the hell am I even doing down here? LOL
