Nasty rain with some sleet pellets. This will freeze up and be a mess.

With most places mixing now, the 12" totals might be hard to achieve unless we get a backside miracle. Places further west have less of a shot with that anyway. But a good storm for the region. Pretty typical mixed mess kind of storm.

Picked up about 2.5" here in MD. Sleet and ZR now. It's nasty. Headed back up Sunday for an extended stay.

I was kinda hoping areas would dry slot a little more after the flip but that doesn't appear to be working out that well. If you are still getting snow but it's huge parachutes, sleet is inbound.

I think in this case you want sleet since the temps are kinda marginal and rates too high for a nice ZR storm.
