  1. Two sportsball clubs going toe-to-toe in an important match. Winner takes home the prized cup. I think.
  2. 42/25. Colder air finally moving back in. Lost about 10” off the pack.
  3. Would be nice to get a firehose pattern like that. Last March was really dry here. Just a slow burn watching the sun melt the pack day after day.
  4. What are some legendary NNE March snow patterns of the past? I seem to recall coming up to BW in March 2006 I think and it snowed every day to what seemed like 3 feet. May be off a year there.
  5. Sounds like a Grinch storm. Every single one of these cutters has dampened out before go time though. The last one turned into 16" here. This one looks potent, but still time for it to dry up and turn into a breezy FROPA or go south of us/overhead.
  6. Hopefully by the end of Feb the cold/snowy pattern returns and we have a good March in NNE. Last March was pretty meh (bone dry for weeks then suddenly very warm and a meltdown), and the usual snow in April thing around here is more of a curiosity and stat-padder than anything. My spot usually gets a blue bomb that drops a sloppy foot in April and then melts the next day. March will need to really rock for this winter to end up above the bottom of the pile.
  7. Hopefully that will also be the number of posts he is allowed per day here. Already down to 5 and he still wastes every single one.
  8. Pack dropped from 30” to 23” overnight. Melting really accelerated when the dews came up.
  9. Still 47 with 15 mph winds... just nuts. This is a microclimate thing for me. I'm sure other areas are on track.
  10. The pack is laughing at this torch for sure. Very little loss. Icicles aren't even dripping much at all. Need snow and not cutters next week though. The pack has to feed.
  11. The high peaks in my backyard giveth and taketh away depending on wind direction.
  12. Currently have 25 mph winds out of the south, and that's a huge torch here every time. I can get snow in every direction but due south. That roasts my ass. These New England warm punches hit hard and it seems to take forever for cold fronts to come down and clear them. Keep this shit in Taunton, please!
  13. 48 at 11:30. Torch! This was not forecasted. My pack seems to be holding fine, though. It's a beastly pack indeed. Shrugging this off.
  14. It’s 48 degrees here at 11:30. This is one hell of a torch for Feb. This was not forecast. I’m roasting. This shit sucks.
  15. I love that quad at Wildcat. It really hauls ass. Why don't all detachable quads move like that? I like skiing there now just for the lift and easy access to the entire mountain.
  16. I'm skiing on it every day... so yeah I'm dealing with it in the best way possible.
  17. Hope it ends soon and stays away. I hate this shit before late March.
  18. LOL it's 45 here now at nearly 9:30 with stiff torch winds. This is a legit torch wave and was mostly missed by the warm-loving crew. They hyped hot 300 hr GFS plots all winter and then I verified at -4 instead, but slept through this one it seems.
  19. Easy to make wrong turns at Wildcat and end up on a pretty gnarly trail.
  20. BW must have received some ZR last night? There is a crust on the powder that traps your skis. Saw a couple epic wipeouts as speedy bros blasted off trail to hit some rad bumps and basically flew out of their boots. LOL
  21. Jan thaw delayed but not denied out there. 38
  22. Was gonna say… SNE has had storms. I get that there were jackpots and screwzones, but where I come from worst winter territory is like 1” or less.
  23. Maybe for CT. I only track my backyard. Average there is like 30" or something, right?
  24. Extended forecast kinda looks like winter’s back is broken? Glad I got snow when I did. I’m sure I will get a foot in mid-April to prevent this from being the worst winter in the record.
