Ok, good.
Your shots all give me a “mountain life” vibe, capturing the manic energy of running a ski resort mixed with the serene natural beauty and quiet up high.
Pretty sure my punishment is coming when I flood out on Christmas Eve and get 5 inches of orographically-enhanced tropical rain that fills my basement and comes in the windows to ruin the kids Christmas presents. LOL
Welp, can't get much uglier than that. Now we have 5 days for the models to at least cut back on QPF. I am fine with a short torch and some showers. But the flooding tropical rains across the entire northern hemisphere are just stupid.
Never really had to deal with a long-term snowpack, but I am hoping that the 1" or so of rain I get in the mid/upper 30s soaks into my 10 inches of snow OTG and then freezes solid. So maybe end up with 4-5 inches of glacial substrate?
I guess I just wasn't paying attention back then, but I never remember being 23 degrees in MD while Maine is in the 50s. But the models sure love spitting that out now.
What a weird-ass looking map. Is this huge thick stripe of precip across the entire northern hemisphere really going to verify on freaking Christmas? Just looks goofy as hell. Like a model glitch.
