  1. Ok, good. Your shots all give me a “mountain life” vibe, capturing the manic energy of running a ski resort mixed with the serene natural beauty and quiet up high.
  2. With sump pumps humming in unison. Can’t forget the sweet sounds of water running down interior walls either.
  3. PF takes amazing pictures. Hope he gets Stowe to pay him for those.
  4. It’s does look very active after the grinch debacle.
  5. The Christmas tropical disaster will wipe out a lot of hard work on the mountains.
  6. The USPS would never get me home. LOL
  7. Damn, a cutter so torched it burns your house down. That’s some serious damage!
  8. Pretty sure my punishment is coming when I flood out on Christmas Eve and get 5 inches of orographically-enhanced tropical rain that fills my basement and comes in the windows to ruin the kids Christmas presents. LOL
  9. Then I went south and messed up the HECS for them too. LOL
  10. Of course it can't just be a normal cutter. It always has to be some abnormal, huge bomb that then slows down and meanders around for days.
  11. With two of us up here from the snow hell region, New England has no chance.
  12. I'll be pumping this Christmas cheer out of my basement while the kids open soaked presents under the tree.
  13. Welp, can't get much uglier than that. Now we have 5 days for the models to at least cut back on QPF. I am fine with a short torch and some showers. But the flooding tropical rains across the entire northern hemisphere are just stupid.
  14. Open the slip n' slides at Stowe? LOL
  15. It's OK, we will get an inch of upslope fluff at 15 degrees afterwards to cover up the mudslides.
  16. Ugh, horrendous. So tired of these damn flooding cutters. Looks like my windows will all leak again on Christmas morning.
  17. Never really had to deal with a long-term snowpack, but I am hoping that the 1" or so of rain I get in the mid/upper 30s soaks into my 10 inches of snow OTG and then freezes solid. So maybe end up with 4-5 inches of glacial substrate?
  18. Somehow I doubt that will lock in way early like this cutter is doing...
  19. Yeah, I probably was never paying attention to it before. I really hate it. LOL
  20. I guess I just wasn't paying attention back then, but I never remember being 23 degrees in MD while Maine is in the 50s. But the models sure love spitting that out now.
  21. 12z GFS seems like it gets the pain over with quicker at least.
  22. What a weird-ass looking map. Is this huge thick stripe of precip across the entire northern hemisphere really going to verify on freaking Christmas? Just looks goofy as hell. Like a model glitch.
  23. 7 here. That map PF posted nicely shows my non-radiating zone as well.
