    18z GFS looks colder up here so far.

    Ji literally said 2009-2010 was a disappointment because it didn’t snow any more after the 3rd HECS. His expectations are far, far beyond the point they can be put in check.

    Just no massive cutters please. Normal NNE pattern of upslope and FROPAs is fine.

    Yup, it’s been great here today, even if it was just the leftovers after J Spin and PF vacuumed most of it up. The ground is covered again and things are mostly frozen up again. Can’t ask for more right now. Hopefully New Years stays frozen.

    12z CMC is a NNE special for New Years, clown maps are fun to look at (but as @J.Spin just noted...).

    LOL CMC is a big snowstorm IMBY. Lock it in!

    Hours of ZR depicted here with a pretty stout cold wedge at the surface north and east of the White Mountains. Hopefully the low tracks a little further south like the 6z was showing so it can be more snow than ice. But this still beats the hell out of 55 and heavy rain. Let's see if the GGEM and Euro keep looking better.

    The SNE gang is having meltdowns, but this New Years storm is looking better and better for up here. At least the massive "atmospheric river" cutter to northern Canada idea is really losing steam. Hopefully it turns into a decent little snowstorm for us. God knows we all need it.

    12z ICON flatter than 00z and better here. Doesn't make much difference in SNE, but in NNE there is a still a shot for a snowstorm.
