  1. Two events in a row now with this same setup.
  2. It's been like this almost all of Feb. When this clears out I will get 1.5" of upslope to freshen up, rinse and repeat into March it appears.
  3. The wind is howling now, blowing my rain around.
  4. Flipping back and forth it appears. Just get this POS event out of here and bring on another 10 day dry stretch.
  5. Well, it’s 31 and raining from this current storm, so...
  6. We have a dusting here with bouts of flurries from this current event. I am not arguing that we have been wintry up here in NNE. Retention, for example, has been excellent here. I just want a meaty storm, 4-6" maybe. Something we can watch come in on radar. I haven't looked at the records that closely, but I suspect going 45 days without cracking 2 inches in core winter is not super common in my spot. The extended outlook on the models seems to indicate we will get there.
  7. Yes, been feast or famine mode for a while. A simple SWFE that drops 6" across the area with minimal fuss would be nice.
  8. I am just jonesing for a 4-6" storm. Retention is great. 1" of upslope fluff every other day is fun too. But it is still nice to get a winter storm warning with a real radar depiction once in a while. That's my gripe right now. That seems really hard to come by here over the past 30 days.
  9. I am speaking just about my location. I am craving a 4-6" storm here. I haven't had over 2" since early Feb, and it looks like that will continue for the next 10 days at least. It's a pretty dull stretch for bigger storms considering this February was very active in many other places. That's all. I get that there is currently "a storm" ongoing but have you looked at radar and temps? LOL
  10. Warm and wet is fine. Let's give that a try because the "pattern" since the beginning of Feb has been shit. Can I just get one coherent, semi-potent low pressure system to pass to my south and toss 0.5" of liquid equivalent up here? Just one?
  11. You did have a good run. Still plenty cold enough for snow here, just no precip. The case for nearly a month now.
  12. Light snow, 17 degrees. A dusting. This one looks pretty anemic on radar, I am not expecting much of anything. Super boring again on the extended.
  13. Another really boring stretch on the extended through 240. Euro has basically no precip of any sort depicted. We have wasted long stretches of this winter with these dry spells. I had been hoping we'd get into a more active pattern as the temps started to warm up, but everything keeps getting shredded still anyway.
  14. LOL Trying to come up with something to argue this but I just can’t.
  15. My area is definitely not a “ski town” feel. Many folks I talk to around here don’t even ski. More of a motorsports kinda place. It’s definitely not exactly what we anticipated, but we love it. To be honest, I kinda can’t stand the ski town vibe in Conway and Jackson. Lot of fake seeming people there, IMO. No one seems local and authentic to me.
  16. Hey, don't talk about Dummer that way!
  17. Yep, same thoughts WRT COVID. I hate going back to MD now. The place is so depressing. Very little hope on several fronts down there.
  18. 21 here under full sun. Not a cloud in the sky. Pretty impressive in a sense.
  19. Far fewer than usual, I think. It hasn't been that cold here. Just cold enough to keep my pack. It does snow here almost every day or other day, but to the tune of 1.5" at a clip. That kept the pack fresh all month but I am really craving a 4-8 storm.
  20. Do you think the depiction on the models showing me downsloped into oblivion are overdone on this one? Doesn't seem like due south winds, more SE.
  21. LOL oh yeah that's a certainty! Chaos theory simulator.
