Russia apparently captured the Chernobyl region and sent surrender demands to Kiev. It certainly appears that the Ukrainians are not putting up much of a fight.
Yeah, my bigger concern is late March and April for skiing.
We can limp along until then but there is not a thick base out there to deal with a week of 60s, IMO. Could be a quick end to the season.

It's good in a way to see "officially" that this season is abnormal. Sometimes I wonder if I am the only one viewing this as a pretty subpar winter, even worse than last winter.
That will get much harder to say with an invasion force headed across the Strait and a good offer for a peace deal on the table. It's asking a lot of people to expect them to essentially commit suicide over something like this.
I think China would offer Taiwan the chance for a peaceful transition and the ability to become a "special economic zone" like Hong Kong. I think most Taiwanese would choose that over a fiery cataclysmic death in an invasion.
