  1. Probably that long overdue moose fart let out in a single, deafening blast that sent the upslope snow into orbit.
  2. Still looks mostly dry up here through mid-month. Not seeing any signs that changes soon.
  3. LOL we have seen enough of your lifestyle pics already. You are living well.
  4. Fits the seasonal pattern perfectly. Should verify. Enjoy!
  5. If you had 500k you could put anywhere for anything, what would you do with it?
  6. More of the same pattern we have been in for 45 days now basically. I am guessing the synoptic precip and cold air will finally arrive by mid-April, just in time to be useless. Basically in spring skiing mode now and thinking about summer. I have kinda given up on getting another nice synoptic snowstorm. Pattern is just too hostile. Maybe some more upslope will come through next week when the temps get a little colder, not holding my breath for more than the usual inch or two. Hoping for a surprise to freshen the pack after it takes a beating this week. This winter felt short to me, with the delayed start and apparent early end. Basically, winter was January 1 through the end of February with some pockets in December of winter-like conditions.
  7. Kind of a weird perspective shot. Almost looks like small figurines on the ice with the camera like 10 inches away. Maybe it's just me. LOL
  8. When has the pattern not supported a strung-out POS this winter?
  9. Yep, story of the winter and no reason to expect that to change. I'm sure I will get the cold and wound-up coastals pattern I want in late May and early June. Inches of chilly rain coming.
  10. You would never make it at GYX. They love that stuff.
  11. Southern Exposure Randolph Sledding Hill Conditions Report Base: 15-18" loose granular Surface: Extremely firm and fast Grooming: non-existent Note: ice-climbing gear recommended
  12. Your posts are like trying to run a snow plow business in Southern MD. It's just not happening, man.
  13. Any real storms on the horizon yet? What a ridiculously boring spell here.
  14. Down by cranmore tonight. They have the lights on. I do miss night skiing. Will need to try to schedule it but hate fighting crowds on the weekends. We only ski when there is zero lift line. LOL
  15. I can see the second half of March being active. I hope it delivers. Skiing is still wonderful so not ready to pack in winter just yet!
  16. About 2 feet on the sheltered north side. I haven't walked down into the exposed southern field and checked recently. Still total coverage down there, guessing 15" or so there, but the sun is slowly melting it despite the temps and next week will bust it up pretty good, I think. It hasn't snowed over 2 inches here in a 24 hr period since Feb 2. Gotta be some kind of record for this site.
  17. CoCoRaHS neighbor is at 121.6" Would be similar here give or take a couple inches. My depth measurements have been tracking right along with his all winter.
  18. Records in Randolph for March only go back 11 years so I don’t know what happened here in some of those truly putrid years.
  19. Haven't felt these tingles since I read Dominion for the 3rd time last night.
  20. I wonder if some NNE sites can make a run at record low snowfall for March? Looks like at least half of the month will go by with basically zilch.
  21. Couple little bursts of more snow now but still mostly just blowing away rather than stacking up.
  22. 7 with light snow. Last taste of winter for a week at least.
