  1. Several people we know had 100+ fevers for 24-48 hours and major fatigue and flu-like symptoms for a few days. They were really laid-low for a while. Missed work and all that. I am not a vaccine expert, but that seems more intense than I have ever heard about the flu vaccine. The handful of folks I know who have gotten COVID itself over the last few months had very mild symptoms, mostly the taste/smell thing with sometimes a touch of fatigue. That’s just my circle, however. I’m sure others have vastly different perceptions.
  2. You are a bad, bad man. And it would be net gain of 1.5” at best. It doesn’t snow more than that here anymore.
  3. My front field depth was 15”-18” in spots before the torch and still 100% coverage out there (aside from septic tank lid) so I definitely didn’t lose anything close to 15”.
  4. The south field didn’t change much despite being torched and solar-blasted all day. The front of the house is very similar. 3-6 seems about right across the board.
  5. I don’t know about that but it did decrease notably in spots. LOL
  6. Not sure about Stowe, but BW definitely needs more snow to have any sort of extended season in the trees. Many bare spots already and thin everywhere. I think the steady temps and lack of rain in February really masked the fact that there hasn’t been basically any synoptic snow of note at the mountain since the first couple days of Feb. The lack of base is showing now. Corn snow cycle can’t do much with muddy ground.
  7. I've embraced my role as the harbinger of the HC expansion.
  8. It feels great. Reminds me of spring skiing out west. 2 feet of snow on the ground while skiing in shorts and sunglasses. MD never gets that. LOL
  9. I may hit 70 at this rate. 64 and still climbing.
  10. 64 now! Can I get to 70? What a damned torch for the ages right here.
  11. Probably more prosaic effects such as issues with fertility or immune response to other infections. Hope the vaccine works out for everyone who gets one. I am at very low-risk from the virus and have already been out in public settings doing my thing all along anyway, so I don't see much reason to get the shot and take away doses from those who really want one. Plus, a surprisingly high number of people I know are reporting pretty severe illness after getting the second dose. I know more people now with a severe vaccine reaction than I know who even have mild COVID. Just my personal circle of acquaintances.
  12. 62 here. Feels wonderful out there. If it isn't going to snow, just bring on spring.
  13. These two "storms" will verify as a single weak OTS POS being tracked by the marina and barge crew for flurries, or cutters.
  14. Makes sense I’d finally get a snowstorm the two days of March I am not here.
  15. Holy shit it all just clicked into place. Moon landings, JFK assassination, Illuminati, 9/11 inside job... everything. I have to tell the world about this before they silence me!
  16. Temp fell to 30 but back up to 32 now.
  17. I just really hope we break the cycle with a snowstorm instead of a Grinch 2.0 cutter that decimates the snowpack. Some of the models are starting to get that cutter look to me.
  18. Getting hyped for another bone-dry arctic frontal passage here this weekend and then more Stein to close out March.
  19. The bulk of the pack is basically shrugging this off, only my blacktop driveway and roof are really melting down rapidly.
