I don't think holding off on getting a vaccine that is still under emergency use authorization when a person is relatively young and healthy is about science denial. I always suggest those at risk of COVID or worried about it should get the vaccine. And LOL at the science denial angle when many NE states are still doing the "hygiene theater" stuff that has long been shown to be totally useless. Spraying down with bleach, for example.

Yep, but got some snow this weekend at least. Looks really dry the rest of the month.

Sunday River was kinda meh. Reminded me of skiing in the Poconos. So many out of control skiers from the cities dumping into merge areas and flopping all over the place. They are also really, really into the COVID stuff too. Way more restrictive feeling than the NH places. The lift access scanner system is also laughably dumb. It creates huge mobs of people that seems to defeat the purpose of the COVID precautions. Not inclined to get season passes here for next season. Conditions were OK. Definitely more man made snow around but skied nice. Many bare spots off the trails. The layout of the peaks is sort of bewildering the first time. Will need to learn this mountain over time.

The Friday deal is a miss here. Looks like we will close out the month with basically zero synoptic snow up this way.

Maybe just me, but the time changes really seem to have an outsized effect up here. It’s still pretty bright out.

So... 99.999999999% chance of not dying versus the 99.8% chance that existed without the vaccine? Obviously for at-risk groups the math probably makes more sense... I am waiting to see how long immunity lasts and how the whole "booster" thing is handled for the variants before I dive in.

LOL well in fairness he is not here complaining on the boards. My totals have been pretty similar to his in the core of winter when temps are pretty uniform. I saw a little gap in the early event in October and probably will see some again in April. He measures very accurately like J. Spin so sometimes he reports snowfall overnight that vaporizes the minute the sun comes up, which makes it feel kinda bootleg from a “sensible weather” perspective. It all counts, obviously. I can and have driven around the corner to his place to check for myself. He measures near the entrance to the ice gulch path, FYI. I have been here all winter aside from about 2 weeks and I haven’t seen an event yet where my obs seemed much off from his.

He didn’t measure over 2” in a single day since Feb 2... not sure I would call that “hefty.” LOL

His totals aren’t really much higher than me. At least I haven’t noticed much of a discrepancy so far. I have tracked very closely to him since December. You noticing a discrepancy? I haven’t seen “hefty” totals from him since the early Feb event...

Best NNE wide “event” since the beginning of Feb? Pretty sad.
